I am looking for assistance regarding a Volvo V60 Polestar 2013 installation using a DUDU7 head unit and an OD-OLO-01 CANBUS box.

The unit was installed by a professional installer and the hardware connections have already been checked multiple times.

My installer is also in direct contact with Mekede, but I wanted to post here because several Volvo V60 owners seem to have experienced similar CANBUS-related issues that were later resolved through CANBUS firmware updates.

I have spent many weeks testing different settings, software updates and configurations. Most issues are fully reproducible and remain present after multiple reboots, resets and software updates.

At this point I strongly suspect either:

Incorrect CANBUS firmware
Incompatible CANBUS firmware
Corrupted CANBUS firmware
Communication issues between DUDU7 and OD-OLO-01

What makes me suspect this is that some CANBUS functions work correctly while many others are completely missing or only partially functional.

The CANBUS Update page also reports the CANBUS version as "Unknown", which does not seem normal.

Photos of all software versions

CANBUS logs

If there is a beta firmware, engineering firmware, Volvo-specific firmware, CANBUS update or newer OD-OLO-01 firmware available, I would be very interested in testing it and providing feedback.

Below is my complete technical report.

MCKEDE DUDU7 TECHNICAL ISSUE REPORT

Vehicle:

Volvo V60 Polestar
Model Year: 2013

Hardware:

Head Unit: McKede DUDU7
CANBUS Box: OD-OLO-01

Current CANBUS Configuration:

OD → Volvo → XC60 (2008–2018)

FUNCTIONS WORKING CORRECTLY

Wireless Apple CarPlay works.
Google Maps works.
Spotify works.
Phone calls through CarPlay work.
Siri works when activated by voice command ("Hey Siri").
Microphone works correctly.
4G SIM card works.
DUDU OS updated to the latest available version.
Region changed from North America to Europe.
Steering wheel Previous Track and Next Track buttons work.
Steering wheel Volume Down button works most of the time.
Original Volvo FM radio works through the factory Volvo system and factory display.

FUNCTIONS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY

CANBUS Related Issues:

CANBUS version shows "Unknown" inside the DUDU CANBUS Update menu.
Door status information is not displayed.
Outside temperature shows "--°C".
Fuel consumption data is missing.
Vehicle information widgets do not display any data.
Climate information is missing or incomplete.
AC/climate control cannot be controlled from the DUDU screen.
No Volvo V60 profile exists in the OD CANBUS selection menu.

Reverse Camera:

Original Volvo reverse camera does not display any image.
Parking sensors and parking sensor sounds work correctly.
Reverse camera image is completely missing.

Steering Wheel Controls:

Voice button activates Volvo's original voice control system instead of Siri.
Short press triggers Volvo voice commands.
Long press does not activate Siri.
Volume Up button is unstable.
Sometimes works after reboot.
Stops working again after some time.

CarPlay / Bluetooth Issues:

CarPlay sometimes fails to reconnect automatically after leaving and returning to the vehicle.
Automatic reconnection behaviour is inconsistent after the vehicle has been parked.
CarPlay occasionally disconnects unexpectedly during driving.
Music playback sometimes does not resume after ending a phone call.
Bluetooth audio playback sometimes does not resume after ending a phone call.
Audible whining/noise is present during Bluetooth audio playback without CarPlay.
The noise changes with engine RPM and appears related to vehicle electrical interference.

Radio:

DUDU Radio application cannot find any FM stations.
Installer informed that radio should operate through the original Volvo radio system instead.

TESTS ALREADY PERFORMED

Updated DUDU OS to the latest available version.
Tested CarPlay after phone calls.
Verified Spotify functionality after software updates.
Activated and tested Siri on iPhone.
Tested steering wheel voice button with and without Volvo My Car Bluetooth connection.
Tested steering wheel key learning (SWC learning) functions.
Verified CANBUS Update menu status.
Checked MCU version.
Checked Bluetooth version.
Physically verified CANBUS module model: OD-OLO-01.
Tested multiple reboots and system restarts.
Confirmed that some steering wheel buttons function correctly, indicating partial CANBUS communication.

OBSERVATIONS

The majority of failed functions appear to be CANBUS-related.

The system is clearly receiving some CANBUS information because certain steering wheel buttons work correctly. However, many vehicle functions are either missing or only partially functional.

The fact that the CANBUS Update page reports "Unknown" instead of displaying a firmware version suggests one of the following:

Incorrect CANBUS firmware.
Corrupted CANBUS firmware.
Incompatible CANBUS firmware for Volvo V60 MY2013.
Communication issue between DUDU7 and the OD-OLO-01 CANBUS box.

Because multiple vehicle-information functions, steering-wheel functions and camera functions are affected simultaneously, this appears more likely to be a CANBUS firmware or CANBUS communication issue rather than a hardware wiring issue.

REQUEST TO MCKEDE ENGINEERING TEAM

Please verify:

Compatibility between DUDU7 and CANBUS box OD-OLO-01 for Volvo V60 Polestar 2013.
Whether a newer CANBUS firmware exists.
Whether a beta CANBUS firmware exists.
Whether the current CANBUS profile is correct.
Whether a dedicated Volvo V60 profile should be available.
Why CANBUS firmware version is reported as "Unknown".
Why the original Volvo reverse camera is not detected.
Why Volvo vehicle data is missing.
Why the steering wheel voice button does not trigger Siri.
Whether there are known Volvo V60 CANBUS issues affecting OD-OLO-01 units.

If available, please provide:

Updated CANBUS firmware
Updated MCU firmware
Engineering firmware
Beta firmware
Volvo-specific firmware packages

I am willing to test any engineering or beta firmware and provide detailed feedback, logs, photos and videos.
