I have a DUDU7 (UIS7870) installed in a 2008 Volkswagen Passat B6 / 3C (PQ46) with the factory front/rear PDC system.
The OEM parking sensors work correctly. The audible PDC warning changes normally according to the distance from an obstacle, but I have an issue with the graphical PDC/radar display on the DUDU7.
Previously I was using another Raise CANBUS decoder with the DUDU CANBUS profile:
RZC (Raise) → Volkswagen → PQ-Low (51)
Reported protocol: VW-RZ-08-002A-B1
With that CANBOX, DUDU7 displayed the vehicle and PDC bars when reverse was engaged, but the individual bars did not change according to obstacle distance.
I have now replaced that CANBOX with a brand-new Raise decoder supplied with a new VW wiring harness:
P/N: G-RZ-VW58
SW: V004.72.12.04-HS
HW: VW-GN-010B
I kept the same Raise Volkswagen PQ-Low CANBUS configuration in DUDUOS.
There is now a noticeable difference compared with the previous Raise CANBOX:
With the new G-RZ-VW58, the PDC bars are now displayed as colored/active. However, they remain in the same state all the time and still do not change according to the actual distance from an obstacle.
The vehicle's OEM audible PDC system continues to work correctly and its warning frequency changes normally as the obstacle gets closer.
I also noticed something interesting immediately after installing the G-RZ-VW58: on the first startup of the DUDU7, the PDC/radar screen appeared automatically while the transmission was still in P. This had never happened with the previous CANBOX.
Since changing only the Raise CANBOX has clearly changed the way the PDC/radar information is displayed, could this be a G-RZ-VW58 firmware or CAN protocol decoding issue?
Is there an updated/different firmware available for this G-RZ-VW58 that I should test?
If necessary, I can also record CANBUS / radar debug data while moving an obstacle closer to and farther away from individual parking sensors. Please let me know exactly which debug/logging mode you need and I will provide it.
My goal is to determine whether the G-RZ-VW58 is receiving the individual PDC distance data from the Passat but not forwarding/decoding it correctly for DUDUOS.
