wwest2 Thanks mate but I'm still lost. The second photo has the folder contents on a usb stick. Where is the root of the usb stick? What does that mean? Sorry to be a pain in the a*#se but I don't follow what I need to do

RioG Take out of the files in the folder and leave the files only.

wwest2 Well, that was a saga! I think it's done and upgrading. Thank you for being patient! I really appreciate it 🙏

Well...not sure if anything has changed. PIP still not working for me. Screenshots for ref. Appreciate the support though 🙏

It does not work automatically. You have to select the pip1, pip2 and pip3 shortcuts in all apps.

RioG Select PIP in Layout - Home Layout mode(I think it was called like that) if it was set as Navi.

Ich meine da wo du alle Apps hast. Da gibt es eine Verknüpfung für pip1, pip2 und pip3

JhonnyD Yes I get that Jhonny....I have set them in the PIP setup section in the pics and mirrored them in the bottom toolbar. I had it working before the update but not sure why its playing up now.

            RioG the

bottom 3 widgets are the pip selected ones

Ok. Sorry. Maybe someone els had the same issue and can help.

JhonnyD All good Jhonny, appreciate your efforts 🙏

RioG Try to move the slider in the attached picture to the left. See if anything is happening.
That slider adjusts the size of the PiP windows. If it's all the way to the left, this means that you'll have only PiP 2 app on the screen. Do you have Waze set as dual PiP app?

Is it maybe because the widgets are on the left side?
I have mine at the bottom.

MihaiFlorin I mean to move the slider to the right. It is already on the left side. @RioG I am in holiday, and I cannot access any DUDU device. Otherwise I would make a video. I promise you that I will make a video as soon as I get in touch with a DUDU device.
@JhonnyD When you use dual PiP, don't you have a slider between the two windows? Try to move it to one side and you'll have single PiP. But I bet you know what I am talking about.

I am getting better learning about and configuring my dudu7 PiP properly. I just learned when you change default app it needs a reboot to take place. It would have been a much better user experience if written documentation for the dudu7 was available. This relates to all functions, features, and how to configure modules like PiP. An FAQ that properly outlines how to update OS, including all the little gotchas. The hardware means nothing if the user experience is challenging right out the gate.

Still have problem where navRadio and navigation sounds do not work together. Navigation voice is working good with spotify and waze but I wasn't a regular spotify user so its unfortunate.

picasso1850 This would be very difficult as the Dudu OS is changing almost all the time. You are not the only one that complains about this. The wiki guide helps a bit. But not that much. I had the same problems as many of you here had. But you must take in account that it was specified from the beginning that the software is in a "beta" mode and suffers continuous changes. Let's hope that after the OS gets out of the beta phase, the Dudu team will start working on some written documentation.

MihaiFlorin Respectfully do not agree with this position. There is a difference between an OS with bugs that require community support and triaging to flourish, and proper documentation for basic setup and configuration, including common issues and an FAQ. This would empower the user and help the developers to work as a team.

I understood and accepted the former challenges but the latter creates problems internally as well as externally. Internally when you hire a product specialist who is unable to ramp up or lean on documentation for self guidance, and externally whereas the consumer experience is the most important for business sustainability. Every function and setting needs to be specifically defined for both of these groups. A fair percentage of the dudu7 device has user clickable (?)option next to defined fields to help guide the user on what the setting does..... at the very least that needs to be for every setting, regardless of what will change in the future with new releases.

picasso1850 Respectfully I disagree with you. When you buy a phone do you get a manual for every setting? No you don't. Nor a description. I know that the learning curve of Dudu OS could be very steep sometimes, but it is the same thing as with the phones. You have to play with the settings to see what every setting does. And most of the settings that don't have the explanation sign (?), have a very easy to understand graphic description. You have the wiki guide. May I ask how many times have you read it? Because like Dudu, many electronics producers do not provide a manual anymore but simply a QR code that takes you to the online version of the manual. I don't know if you owned other Chinese head units before. But believe me that the wiki guide is much more complete than what you get with the other brands. For the bugs you have this forum or the Telegram group where the community is much bigger and I bet you'll find your answers much faster there than here. But it is everyone's choice.
