BenAriel MrFixer yeah same I found a way to connect for first time you need to turn on hotspot before opening the app then it will connect for the first time but still audio problems with audio lag or even some thing new happen to me its the app is crashing and I need to reconnect
Suki4th Wireless Android auto is totally useless. Does not connect every time, very unstable. Tried with One plus 10 Pro with Android 14, One plus 13 with Android 15 and Samsung s22 with latest updates. Wired Works only If the USB cable is plugged in before starting the Dudu7. This is with newest Dudu7 software.
Wass I have same problem sometimes it connects immediately, sometimes needs 2-5 attempts. for both wireless or USB connection.
Suki4th dogsfoot Yes, no help. Hopefully next updates fixes this and brightness control, If not it is just expensive junk...
picasso1850 Suki4th Maybe it doesn't meet all your hopes and expectations but far from junk, and leads the pack against all other android head units. Reset your expectations and enjoy the unit for everything that it does do good.
MrFixer picasso1850 There's a fair few bugs with the Dudu7 and lack of reliable AA and CarPlay connectivity (wireless and wired) is a bit of a deal breaker for many customers. It needs rectifying urgently.
Suki4th picasso1850 Why should i reset my expectations for something this expensive when 40 dollar radio can do these thing without problems? Maybe they should test the product before putting it to market? Ok, it sounds good and radio works fine and display looks good...
BenAriel MrFixer Yeah I am with you men AA and CP is what I use the most when I am in my car. My friend got some android HU with 4 gb of ramm and it's got tlink 5 it's working all the time first connection no problem at all no music lag or any thing and I did noticed that it's got hot spot all time on and that help it connect for the first time
dogsfoot I have zero problems with AA connected via USB. Wireless does randomly disconnect and spotify is laggy.
BenAriel android auto wireless just disconnecting it self randomly, and got very high audio lag pls fix it !!
dogsfoot BenAriel I`ve given up on android auto and just use apps instead now. Wireless AA is useless.
Suki4th I have solved this by ordering cheap wireless Android auto dongle, which is connected all the time to Dudu. Not perfect solution, but works better. If i have known about these problems before buying, i wouldnt have bought it. Next time Joying...
surfer63 Suki4th Joying is FYT too. It comes with exactly (!!) the same Carlink APK. DuDu doesn' t make the Carlink.apk, FYT does. Don' t think AA/Carplay will work better on another FYT unit. It will work just as good or bad as on a Dudu. And problems are mostly with Carplay. Edit: did you disable phone hotspot and/or VPN connection?
MrFixer surfer63 There is definitely a problem with AA and CP on the Dudu7. I have installed 40+ headunits in the last year, including around 10 FYT UIS7862-based units. No problems with any of those. Did an install of a cheap $120 Eonon unit today, Rockchip 3562 - they always connect wirelessly to AA - 100% first time, every time. Dudu7 is priced and positioned as a 'premium' unit but so far does not meet that aspiration. Hardware is good but the software/firmware needs a lot more work.
