Gatolab For using the DUDU 2K DVR on a generic Android host, you need the universal version of the APK.
DUDUDVR_2K_universal.apk

Gatolab разрешения исправлены, попробуйте загрузить снова.

Thank you, YAOXILONG and Chubaka885.
I will start using the files you have provided from tomorrow onwards.

I am reporting the result of installing the DUDU DVR Service to enable full functionality of the DUDUAUTO 2K DVR on a general Android head unit, which is not running DUDU OS, and the DVR 2K app.

All functions, including ADAS, worked stably and properly. When I selected the voice alert option in the DVR 2K app’s ADAS, it started to give voice warnings in my country’s language correctly. My head unit uses Google’s TTS for this. Since I have never used Toppal, I am not sure whether voice alerts will work with Toppal.

Additionally, the coordinates and speed, which had never displayed anything other than 0 before, are now being displayed correctly. These coordinates and speed are also correctly included in the recordings on the TF card of the camera itself.

I just tried DUDUDVR_2K_universal.apk.
It prompted me to install the DUDU DVR Service.
However, after installation, the displayed UI was the same as the HD DVR.
It seems that the speed display is incorrect.

I just tried the firmware FW_CarDvr_335_0.0.18_F_DUDUAUTO.
The update instructions mentioned checking the LED blinking pattern, but I couldn't find where the LED is located on the DUDUAUTO 2K DVR device.
For now, I wrote the firmware file to a microSD card, inserted it into the DUDUAUTO 2K DVR, powered it on, and waited for one minute before checking.
I confirmed that the version number was updated.
However, I am not sure what changes were made. I would like to have a changelog.
    Thank you.

Gatolab You must understand the firmware of the 2k recorder is not developed by Dudu team. Dudu team if we can say so, only sells it. The firmware updates are provided by the manufacturer of the recorder. And if they don't give a change log, Dudu team cannot provide one to you.

MihaiFlorin if dudu selling it under their name then they are responsible for it and can't refer to third party company to avoid any questions.

For example I have few questions about it:
Also why this dvr cannot be updated through app?
Does it have any other notifications except that the car in front start moving? Because I turned on everything but have only this.
Why we can't see SD card from headunit file browser?

I tried uploading a video to this forum, but even smaller files than the displayed upload limit are actually rejected.

        The voice is in Japanese.

In the DVR 2K app, the Lane Departure, Forward Collision, and Front Car Start alerts all worked with proper voice notifications.
When the sensitivity is set to High, there are so many warnings that it becomes almost annoyingly noisy.

Gatolab is there any chances after firmware update on dvr? Will try to test my after update

Gatolab so I updated my adas from 15 to that 18, but it looks like to get any other notifications you need to use voice instead of sounds. Start to use voice notifications, will see how it goes

          a month later

Gatolab How did you fixed the problem with the speed (72kmh) ? I have the same issue. Thank you

            Doki
I don't know how to fix the bug in the universal version of the app where "72 km/h" continuously appears at the top of the screen. However, it seems possible to hide the speed display by touching the screen and changing the display order so that the camera video layer is placed above the speed display layer.

The coordinates and speed in the lower left corner of the screen are occasionally displayed correctly, but most of the time, they show as 0. I don't know how to fix this either.

There were some inaccuracies in my previous reports in this thread regarding the 2K DVR app.
The ADAS voice is not generated using TTS but is instead played as WAV files recorded for each language. The Japanese voice in the 2K DVR app was most likely a recording of Google's TTS. Since it sounded identical to the Japanese voice of Google TTS on my head unit, I mistakenly assumed that the 2K DVR app was using TTS for speech.

The DUDU DVR Service was also included in the 2K DVR app. It seems that the issue stemmed from the fact that it was not installed correctly when I first installed the 2K DVR app. My head unit is made by a different company, not DUDU. However, the reason AR ADAS functioned on the 2K DVR app despite this was likely because the app was not properly installed. After repeatedly reinstalling the 2K DVR app, I was no longer able to display AR ADAS. It is probably correct that AR ADAS does not function in non-DUDU OS environments due to the hardware/software environment check within the 2K DVR app, but this is unfortunate for me.

Gatolab Thank you I will try that later. Does the "DUDUDVR_2K_universal.apk have the Japanese voice for you? I installed it and it only makes beep sounds. I'm not Japanese but I wouldn't mind having Japanese voice since I'm learning the language haha.

Here is an app that support AR on my Unit. I also do not have a DUDU Head Unit. Give it a try.

let me know if the link works. The AR App is in Chinese. Not sure how to change language. But I didn't really try since I wanted my ADAS to work correctly first.

I think I figured it out.
Just installed the DUDUDVR App with the version 1.001083 and the "coreAdas.apk" (not sure which version)
and now it looks like this:

just need to go on a test ride 😉

                Doki
I have confirmed that the universal version of the app contains a female Chinese voice and a male Russian voice in WAV files. However, it is unclear whether these voice audio files will be used in a Chinese or Russian language environment. There do not appear to be any audio files for other languages.

I have tried the app from the link you provided in the past, and it was a derivative version of the HD DVR app.
The AR ADAS feature in the app is almost the same as the one found in other Chinese DVRs, with only slight differences in the distance estimation to the vehicle ahead due to the field of view.
Furthermore, the audio files included in the app are exactly the same as those in the universal version of the DUDU DVR.

Just installed the DUDUDVR App with the version 1.001083 and the "coreAdas.apk" (not sure which version)
If i open the 2k DVR App now it looks like this:

if open the "DUDU DVR Service" I get this:

clicking on AR will get me here:

not sure how to use this app, if usable at all.
I need to test ADAS first, maybe now it's OK.

                  Doki
If you have another DVR app installed, it may have switched to that one.

As for the AR in the bottom right corner, when I tested it before, it was set to launch the AR navigation app of Gaode Maps (Amap, 高德地图). Since Gaode Maps is only available in Chinese, I couldn't understand how to operate it. Additionally, it does not have detailed maps outside of China, so it seems that I cannot use navigation in my country.

                  2 months later

I had removed this 2K USB DVR for a while, but after updating and initializing the firmware of the navigation system, I installed the 2K DVR app again.

With version DUDUDVR_2K_1.001093, the DUDU DVR SERVICE is automatically installed when launching the app for the first time after installation. This ensures the proper DUDU DVR SERVICE is installed, allowing the AR ADAS to function correctly. The coordinates are also acquired and displayed properly. The system is stable overall, but often, when launching the 2K DVR app for the first time after starting the car (and the navigation system), the app fails to connect to the camera. As a result, I usually have to close the app and restart it.

Yesterday, I updated to DUDUDVR_2K_1.001095. The update went smoothly, and AR ADAS continues to function after the update. I’m not sure what the difference is between versions 1.001093 and 1.001095.

The title of this thread, "Please release a universal version of the 2K DVR app," may no longer be necessary, as the DUDUDVR_2K app can now be properly installed on navigation systems other than DUDU.
