VishBK Have you connected PIN9 on the CANBUS terminal to the AMPC cable?
Do you have a photo?

dudu-lai Yes, but I put it back into the CANBUS harness because I needed sound.

      Is that so?

I am using a DUDU7 head unit in a Mazda 6 GJ with BOSE amplifier. I experience a "click/pop" sound in the speakers (especially the center speaker) during device startup and reboot. This issue happens regardless of power or wiring configuration (AMP CTRL wire is stable at 11.2V). I have tried several grounding methods, RCA rewiring and filtering, but the click persists.

I saw on the DUDU forum that some users had similar problems and received a new MCU firmware version which helped eliminate the click/pop.
Could you please help me with that as well?

        Here are my MCU/firmware details:

Let me know if you need any additional information. Thank you in advance!

Thanks, I've tried messing with all of the EQ settings including power regulation which like you said only makes the volume too low. At this point this is basically unuseable at highway speeds in the Outback with the HK system. If they're unable to resolve this I'll just go back to my OEM headunit that actually sounded decent.

I think you're onto something though, one of the amps needs to be disabled somehow.

dudu-lai Yeah I have it connected directly into the connector without cutting the existing wire.

Can you adjust the amplifier settings in Vehicle Information?

Nestoranto You need to upgrade the MCU, please check the solution mentioned in the appeal

VishBK After the MCU is upgraded, the AMP C cable releases voltage to the system after 5 seconds to allow the CANBUS junction box to operate.
If PIN 9 controls sound. Then it should take effect when the AMP C cable is plugged in.

dudu-lai I think it would be easier having the software workaround with the AMP volume being set to 0 then reset when booted.

VishBK The software cannot do this. It has been verified by engineers that the Toyota AMP does not accept volume commands, only plus or minus commands.

dudu-lai If you can get the current volume, couldn't it just do a minus until reaching 0 then plus until the previous volume?

VishBK No, the AMP volume is slow to ramp up and down.

Maybe it also would be great if the amp power would be turned off at reboot.
Press reboot, amp power 0, reboot, 5 seconds delay, rebooted.

dudu-lai Ok, I updated the MCU. The click only appears when restarting dudu. Thx.

                          Nestoranto Is the problem solved?

dudu-lai Yes, thank you. The click remains only when restarting the radio, but I understand that you will fix it in the future.

dudu-lai Nope there is no amplifier volume control there, what you can do is to change the general volume level which is the same volume level you are modifying with the steering wheel volume buttons here is what you can modify under the car audio state.

I have also tested upgrading the OS with factory default on settings to 3.6 beta 1, 2, 3 and there was no change on this behavior the speakers start crackling when you hit level 7 and above so if you dont want your speakers to sound like crap you have to listen to music low, which is pointless if you are driving on the highway the road noise makes you increase the volume then the crackling starts, really a shame the integration is not there at least with the current canbus , option b you lower the overall power output via the dudu car sound advance area but then your music sounds tiny there is no presence to the sound , basically you turn dts off and lower the power output, dont use any of the sound profiles, and this would avoid this , but at this point you are better off using the starlink oem unit. which is what @Bradha333 was pointing out.

dudu-lai After trying again to connect the AMP C cable to PIN 9, the sound works and I can hear a longer delay before the amplifier kicks on. (Anything above level 40 on the amplifier volume white noise can be heard from the speakers). However, the popping sound is still heard if the device wakes up from a shutdown (like setting the shutdown instead of sleep option in start settings).
