same here still popping on harman kardon amp - subaru outback. the one million dollar question is does this software update also requires connecting the amp cont cable (2) to the amp c harness cable to work? which means i have to take the dashboard apart again?
I updated just the software , i never connected those cables during my initial installation because i was never instructed to do so. which should be from the get go clearly stated. this is not my first android head unit on the subaru with the exact same amp, and same harness since i am using the same canbux simple tech one for my subaru. can anyone confirm this fix requires the hard wiring posted on the top of this post. thanks for everyone feedback.
mops2033 Did the update work? If the APK doesn't work, I need to send you the APK for the rolling CANBUS logs and I need you to record a video of the CANBUS logs from starting the car to the stereo thumping on your phone!
Install this APK to add the CANBUS logging always-on feature. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1K81T3pjKk-N1IKCwFGOP701_8kOCknHd/view?usp=sharing
Do you use Telegram? I'm LSDUDUlai.
No it didn't work but I have not connected the cables I only applied the jeep APK file you shared here. The canbus car info does not show the amp power control option under vehicle info
Thanks I really hope this was documented on the installation guidance , to test this I will need to take my dashboard apart. I was hope you had a software option to disable the power up but what you are saying is the cable needs to be soldered to the canbus decoder harness. In my case i.am using a simple software rp5-su-001. If you leave the head unit to not power off you avoid the noise but my unit has started with a black screen randomly so I change the boot to shutdown with a 3 sec delay to avoid the false resume issue that causes dudu7 screen off glitch during car ignition

VishBK Hello, Toyota CANBUS cannot control factory AMP on/off!
2 test methods, looking forward to your feedback results, thanks!
1: Please turn down the stock volume in “Vehicle Information”-“AMP Settings” to verify if the thumping sound is still present.
2: Did setting the stock volume to 0 stop it from thumping the next time you start the car?
Hi, the problem with popping sound solved but now i dont know how to stop the runnig logs on screen, wait for your help
dudu-lai So connecting the amp control wire and updating the MCU would not fix this problem? Setting the amp volume to 0 fixes the thumping noise but I cannot hear any sound as a result. Maybe a workaround for the engineer could be setting it 0 before the head unit shuts off then seeing it to the previous value when it starts up.
Yesterday i updated the Firmware of the Mekede M6 with DUDU OS.
When you put in the USB stick and the head unit then reboots to the firmware update, no pop.
Directly after the update when it starts, no pop.
If you then reboots the head unit, pop.
But it seems that it happens in the shutdown phase not in the start phase.
But this is just a though, i don't know how fast the rebot phases are.
In tve car is no AMP. It is the head unit with OEM speakers.
dudu-lai I have connected the Amp control cable to the AMP C harness cable on my subaru outback 2017 with OEM harman kardon amplifier. and also applied the MCU Updates from here. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1QHfKsoY7tsgg4Bls8ezOjKWCTBwZ5NNy?usp=sharing)
The noise still happening during Dudu OS boot. do i need to also install the APK for jeep. or can you provide me with the one compatible with subaru? sharing here my dudu info. and a picture showing the connected amp cont cables
Thanks for your support!
dudu-lai no it was not connected, i soldered the two after i received your feedback regarding this cable needed to be connected to the harness. The harness did not have (AMPC) this pin was empty. so i had to take this cable from another harness to be able to connect it to the amp control cable.
here is what the wiring harness looked like prior
