  • Opel Insignia Center console not working

Bury
I also asked you what a central console is. For you in your opel insignia it might be obvious, but not to others that do not have an opel insignia.
There are now 2 persons trying to help you, but if you don't help us and make a photo or explain better, we will not be able or even want to help you.
"i'm mainly talking about volume knob". Which volume knob? where? somewhere in the center of your dashboard? Somewhere in the middle console before or after your (automatic) gear shift?

sorry for slow replies and not specifying what im talking about. Nothing inside that red square does not work.

And i got that photo from google

Bury These buttons usually control the factory CD, does the factory CD still work?

    • Bury replied to this.

dudu-lai I had to take out factory CD entirely cuz the cables that I had plugged into the cables that originally went into the CD.

Bury The buttons here need to be wired to the canbox in order to work properly.
      It also requires protocol support.

      • Bury replied to this.

DUDU-Meng where can I buy those wires and what can I do about "protocol" ?

Bury I just learned that these buttons are used to control the original cd player. You have chosen not to retain the original car host an turn dudu
These buttons are definitely not available

          • Bury replied to this.

DUDU-Meng So is there a way to keep originall CD player and still use Dudu ? With the wires that I had there was no way to connect Dudu and CD player together.

There are multiple modifications for your model.

            1. Vertical screen Will remove the physical buttons in its entirety
            2. horizontal screen retain cd host installation is more complex sound or by the original cd host sound, dudu for entertainment.
            3. Horizontal screen retains the faceplate does not retain the cd host Advantage is that the sound is completely controlled by the new host
            • Bury replied to this.

DUDU-Meng so there's no way to connect just the volume knob with Dudu ? and if I'll choose the 2nd option how can I set it up ?

No, the second way Your original cd host is still working fine.
              Dudu is for entertainment only.

              • Bury replied to this.

DUDU-Meng Can I ask for instructions how i'm supposed to wire eferything ?

Asked the tech. You can't keep the original cd on this model.
That's why this button doesn't work.

                • Bury replied to this.

DUDU-Meng And what if I swapp CD player for a different model, would that change anything?

You have a CD player and the physical buttons are the CD player's own buttons which only control the CD player.
When you change the big screen car machine, the power supply and speaker cable to the CD host are disconnected, so the CD does not work, and the physical buttons that come with the CD player will not work.

If you want to keep the original CD host, it is estimated that you need to enter in the case of not unplugging the CD cable to modify their own flywire out to connect to the big screen car machine alone to be able to. This we do not have the technical conditions, you can study by yourself if necessary.

surfer63 changed the title to Opel Insignia Center console not working .

DUDU-Meng Im not knowledgeable enough to modify it by myself, so i'm either stuck with dead buttons and no way to enter car settings or have to go back to stock radio.

                      12 days later

Confirmed working on my Dudu7 in my Meriva B (same generation car). I can adjust volume using the rotary controller and select FM radio playback.

@surfer63 Have you connected all the connectors on the CD400 panel (the important one is the black connector on the middle position on the right) and which CANBUS profile have you selected?
