dudu-lai I finally received a new harness, checked all the wiring added an extra ground wire and it’s still reboot. Do I have a defective unit?
Dudu7 head unit reboots by itself
- Edited
These are the steps I took:
- I got a new harness and installed the head unit with an extra ground wire attached to the wiring harness
- I also checked the ACC wire and the constant wire just to make sure everything is fine.
- Factory reset the unit
- I replace the old DVR camera with dudu 2k camera updated all the basic apps
- I'm currently on dudu 3.5
I still get a random reboot out of nowhere can you please help?
I i will send you the link to my google drive with the corresponding txt. and ylog files.

Is there a boot animation for every random reboot?
Mongcharlie No reboot-related Android logs were found in the logs, but the15:55 PM OG loss, lots of USB errors in the kernel
What devices are connected to the radio's 3 USB ports?
- Edited
yes
like a complete shutdown
completely off and turns back on immediately
like the picture you sent
What devices are connected to the radio's 3 USB ports?
: dudu tpms
: dudu 2k cam
: the last one is connected to the cars factory usb a connector for charging
I also have a data sim connected too
thanks for helping i've been dealing with this issue since i got the head unit
Mongcharlie The engineers want you to unplug all 3 USB connectors on the back of the radio to test if the radio will randomly reboot.
If the method does not work, print the ylog log again with all 3 USB connectors unplugged. Because this time, the logs sent to us have a large number of USB error reports
dudu-lai ok I'll do that and report back thank you
dudu-lai
I read somewhere that a bad SD card might have an effect on the camera and cause it to reboot the head unit is this possible
Mongcharlie Yes. I had this kind of problems because a bad USB drive
MihaiFlorin i'll get a new micro SD today too to try it out
Hi, I have a DUDU7 11.5 with 12GB/512GB unit installed a few weeks ago and updated to 3.5. It was working well last few weeks until last weekend when I was doing very long drives for several hours at a time and noticed that it would turn off and then reboot (with the Google boot animation) at random times for no apparent reason. It did it 3-4 times during the day, that I noticed.
I normally don't have any USB devices plugged into the unit, except for 1 to charge a GPS tracker (power only, no data). This last weekend I did have my phone plugged in to charge a couple of times. And now I come to think of it, I think the random reboots occurred while I had the phone plugged in.
Later that day I drove back home 3-4 hours and the phone was unplugged and no reboots at all.
Could this point to the USB errors that could be causing reboots?

here is the link to the report

Mongcharlie Is only the TPMS USB receiver connected? Are other USB ports not connected?
I label the folders on google drive
one folder has the ylog of the reboot with just the tpms connected (happened in the morning)
the other folder happened last night, (nothing connected to the USB)
is it possible to go back to the last stable version? maybe os 3.0 ? the reboots are inconvenient
TIA
Mongcharlie I'll submit the logs to the engineer when he gets to work tomorrow, Monday, and if he doesn't have a good idea, I'll tell you how to get back to OS 3.0.
thanks,
i'll keep updating the random reboot for your BUG team.

Mongcharlie Still haven't found the cause of the reboot
Please do this, clear the history ylog, connect the TPMS and DVR separately without rebooting, and print a 5 minute log to help us find the USB anomaly issue.
There is no good solution for the reboot issue, the cause is unknown.
Please downgrade back to OS3.0 version, steps are as follows 1: Download OS3.0 version from this link, unzip it to the root directory of USB flash drive (https://drive.google.com/file/d/14M6FXZk2nPzdHyLwyy1pQ1pAYZyQmC82)
2: At the same time, put this file into the root directory of USB flash disk (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mb2CoCQcstpSPWyB0TxI0wjEj_XQGhHW/view?usp=sharing)
Insert the USB flash drive into the USB port, the USB flash drive will be downgraded automatically.
i did the downgrade to 3.0 Last night, everything went fine. the system worked great for awhile, but then i got another reboot today.
here is the ylog file

Mongcharlie OS version 3.0 has the same problem, so you can rule out a system issue. It could be a hardware issue.
