• DUDU OS
  • Dudu7 head unit reboots by itself

Head unit: dudu7 12g 256hd
Car: 2018 Honda jazz

My head unit reboots at random times. It's done with both the previous os and the new 3.5 os. I installed 3.5 from fresh using the factory restore file while updating

I'll be into a 1HR if driving and all of a suddent it just reboots. Only running 3 apps at the same time. it happened 3 times today
Google maps
Waze
And YouTube music

Also connected is a dvr camera and the tpsm system.
Other than that the head unit is great.

TIA

Mongcharlie It's only an assumption, but I had some random reboots that were related to the USB drive connected to the DVR. Try to disconnect it and see if it still happens. I repeat this is only an assumption. What type of DVR camera are you using?

This has happened to me twice as well, was only running Spotify both times when it happened

MihaiFlorin some cheap one for now I’m planing to get the Dudu 7 one pretty soon what was the cause of the reboots in particular do you know ?

Mongcharlie The USB drive. From what I know but is only an assumption.

MihaiFlorin I deleted the app, and deleted maps, Waze, and ytube music. Been doing process of elimination. Still does it after about and hour of use. Can someone from the dudu team chime in to help?

            Maybe it's overheating?

Mongcharlie What is the version of DUDUOS?

              dudu-lai

dudu-lai what am I looking for ? Is there a newer version out? Or can I go back to the 3.0 ?

Mongcharlie No problems with the version, could it be a loose harness?

                  dudu-lai i'll double check

dudu-lai more info: it reboots when i'm not running the car, so the harness shouldn't be moving
                  would it be anything else.

also i can hear the fan spin up everytime i open an app

surfer63 changed the title to Dudu7 head unit reboots by it's self .

The CPU fan application should also show the active temperature. See if it increases too much.
And otherwise: Try to run an app that shows the CPU temperature. See if it increases too much in an hour.

surfer63 yeah i have both cpu-z and ada64 temps seems fine highest one is 64c "chg-thmzone"
all of the plugs are double checked and everything is secure.
                    still randomly reboots

Would it be convenient for you to provide a copy of the reboot log?

                      6 days later
surfer63 changed the title to Dudu7 head unit reboots by itself .

dudu-lai how do I do that TIA

Mongcharlie I do not know the exact logs lai has asked for but this link may help
