  • SWC button no response after sleep

I have a problem with SWC button on my car
I am using dudu 7 unit

My car doesn't need a canbus
So just plug and play the harness and
Go through key Learning

But on this unit
On version 241008
The keys respond 5% of the time only

So i have updated to
241118 to see if it works On latest preview

The key after learning is responding normally

but if the unit go to sleep for few minutes
The key button stop responding after the unit wake up

And only solution i found
Was to restart the unit and rest the key learning

But after being sleep for few minutes
This happens again

So i think some service that handle this doesn't wake up after sleep

    MihaiFlorin thanks
I was just taking pictures of my the problem
As i wanted to be clear

    Head unit info

Abogrhen Sorry for being a bit harsh but you're not the first one that post without the device info. And this thing starts to be a habit among members. Some people don't understand that without "device info", the devs cannot help that much.

What is your vehicle model and is the SWC signal wire connected correctly?

        dudu-lai hi
        Hyundai elantra 2010

Yes it is correct also i have tried it on my older unit and it was fine

          6 days later

Abogrhen Is there a difference between restarting the DUDU7 or restarting the car when the SWC button does not work

            dudu-lai hi
            No difference

So i notice that if you programed the key and restart the unit directly or
restart the car it self the same thing
            The button stop responding

              Abogrhen
When the buttons are out of order, does the number of each button change after re-learning compared to the last time? Normally, the number is fixed no matter how many times it is learned, but if it changes, it may be due to a change in the resistance of the steering wheel.

                dudu-lai
                No
                They stay the same
                Also the resistance numbers
                Doesn't change

Abogrhen This has never happened before, assuming it's a software issue and the learn icon doesn't disappear but doesn't work when pressed. Assuming the SWC button doesn't work, but nothing was done, just relearned and then worked again, being able to learn on proves the cable connection is fine, confusing me.

                    dudu-lai
                    Yah
on thing i can think of
Is that some services that handled this goes to sleep and don't work again

But on "canbus" cars the canbus wake the service up so that doesn't happen to them

Abogrhen Settings - Automotive - Startup Settings - Set to off when engine is off, is this ok?

                        dudu-lai
                        This is the current setup
Should i try to set it as shutdown ?

                        I tried the shutdown setting
                        But no difference

Try using a CANBUS bus box to see if that solves the problem.

                          dudu-lai
                          Thanks for the suggestion
But as far as I know
There is no canbus available for my car
                          (Hyundai elantra 2010 )

As it older model with standard ISO connection as the car came with JVC unit from factory and later on upgrade it to Kenwood unit
Before moving to android head unit
And all of them worked with SWC button

And as the buttons work fine when programmed it's clearly a software bug

Any way i have ordered my self the dudu Bluetooth remote to solve the problem for now

But i hope that you can flag this problem and try to get into it later on

hy, im driving also hyundai ix35, 2012 (year of production - car model without CANBUS), only cable, i have question regarding head lights ON/OFF, doors ON/OFF (it shows on car command displey/desktop)...does lights on/off, door on/off only works with CNBUS, or it support some car models without CANBUS?? my swc works solid, only sometimes it dont show volume up/down graphic on screen, and and some buttons are slow to response but i think it is related to usage during years
