USB Audio (DAC) support, digital outputs

Hello Friends. I have a question about DUDU6, namely does anyone know if the USB Audio output is passthrough in this model. I would like to connect DUDU6 to my Helix and I wonder if it makes sense to install a USB HEC card. Unfortunately, the sound from the SPDIF input is not the best quality... I would not like to change to DUDU7 right away if I manage to achieve good sound via USB. The only thing I still use is the navigation sound, but in this case I can switch to SPDIF with Conductor.

The USB output is direct and does not pass through DSP chips, etc., so the volume cannot be adjusted on the DUDU.

Isk I know you asked someone else, but: I use a dsp3. Source switching via director is instant. It’s the auto switching thats a tad slow.

Hi . im using dudu6(m6 pro plus) and im wondering which is better to use for usb out device to connect to my dsp , USB interface for digital to digital or USB DAC which is rca IN to dsp. Does anyone tried both? which is better?

Guys, is it just the usb-c output where you have no control over the volume or is it the same if you use either either of the usb-a outputs ?

Chrisjohn all usb audio are taken before DSP which means no usb audio has volume control.
Volume control is available on psdif and coax which offers pass through (meaning all dsp is off). This method reaches 10Hz-24kHz (flat), over 100dB S/N and very low THD, which is excellent anyway. The max volume at 0dBf is max 0.9 though, not 1.0 (probably dsp headroom for any EQ etc which isn't switchable) but it can be easily bumped with amp gains.

That's what I thought but I have just connected my external dsp via usb-a out puts on the headunit and the steering wheel and headunit volume controls both work ???

Chrisjohn possibly this model does standard android usb audio over usb-A (like any android host device from android built in mixer and bit perfect usb audio over usbc)
Can't confirm as have Dudu7.

When I was playing from USB-C, volume controls on the handwheel did not work. I had to use my DSP controller. Never tried with USB-A.
I would like to know what's the best way to connect from DUDU7 to my DSP ? I mean Which out ?
