So the Dudu is out of the car - will box and return ship today. Hope they don't raise a fuss about the $3 mounting brackets that I had to cut and the wiring harness which has power/acc/ground cut for direct connection (replacement harness only $4).
The lack of audio in the car is a downer but I'm going to make some temp connections to allow me to trigger my processor and amps from the dash and then use a portable streamer for the short term.
Now to the very difficult decision. I have no doubt re the RedPower audio quality via Optical (apologies if I sounded like that -I didn't elocute my words that well) but have been reading through user reviews and have some question marks over the user interface. From what I can gather, there is no RedPower Launcher so I guess everything has to be configured via appropriate Android apps. I'd really love to see/hear the views of someone outside of Russia (for independence only) to make me feel more comfortable. It's a pity that T'Eyes CC4 Pro has implemented audio the same way as Dudu has because their user interface and configurability looks fantastic.
I also have the opportunity to pickup a near new Alpine F509 locally for pretty the same price as the RedPower 850 Pro so this makes the decision even more difficult.
Have you moved closer to a decision on path forward?
