79Red DUDU-Meng Hello, I'm trying to do the same with a USB-C touchscreen. How do you 'manually' restart the system? I did "reboot" but still nothing shows up on the second screen.
DUDU-Meng 79Red All devices use standard protocols. As long as your screen supports Type-C one-cable-to-go, you can cast your screen normally.
DUDU-Meng 79Red I grabbed a portable monitor and recorded a quick video. Take a look. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ODyPJmX6EZomgZenWsWnxMwZExjs9S5X&usp=drive_fs
79Red DUDU-Meng I've tried. The device I use as a second monitor thru USB-C on my laptop that works there does not work when plugged into this unit. This is the one that I have.
DUDU-Meng 79Red Can your laptop's screen be used as an independent display by inputting video through the Type-C port? Do you want to mount the laptop at the back as a rear display?
79Red DUDU-Meng I'm trying to use it so I can use it as a second screen for more apps since the screen sits so low in my dashboard. Here is my video of me unplugging the screen from my laptop which shows it working to the Headunit, which does not work. This is USBC cable from the back of the Headunit that I plugged it into. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/vzsn8kuwq8rawxw0d37lx/20250903_124614_89f59272-2.mp4?rlkey=ao2mmig4sqkkr579ubfndnp8q&st=qin7vxo2&dl=0
DUDU-Meng 79Red I watched your video. Honestly, I'm not sure what the reason is either. You can try swapping the data cable you use with your laptop onto the DUDU7 for testing.
79Red I swapped cables and it didn't work either. One thing I noticed is that my other screen didn't have touchscreen and it worked, but in the Android Setting -> Wired setting, it shows up as HDMI plugged in. But I'm using USB-C cable.
DUDU-Meng 79Red If your screen lacks touch functionality, it only transmits data via the HDMI video protocol. If your screen supports touch and speakers, the connection protocol will also differ.
DUDU-Meng 79Red Yes, we use the standard video data protocol, and other customers' OneTouch portable screens have all worked normally. We haven't encountered any cases where they couldn't be used. So I'm not sure where the problem lies with your current situation.
