  • Exploring the problem of popping sounds

Toyota Corolla Hybrid 2019. Canbus Raise.
I have that thump on reboot. No amp wire connected so I think the Canbus starts the amp. It is a factory amp from Toyota.

MihaiFlorin Does the car have a JBL stereo and does the CANBUS junction box use the RZ-FT-01 or the RZ-FT-02?

dudu-lai No JBL. The standard sound system. And this is the Canbus that I have now. G-RZ-FT51.
L.E.: I forgot to mention that everything works with this canbus. SWC, doors, new Vehicle info UI and so on.

MihaiFlorin This car doesn't have the factory AMP, the radio is connected directly to the speakers and shouldn't pop.

MihaiFlorin You cannot manually click restart in the radio to test.
If you turn off/start the car normally, does it make a “popping” sound under normal use?

dudu-lai No. But I have this "pop" sound when I reboot the unit.

            MihaiFlorin Same here.

JhonnyD Use the reboot on the top slide bar, no popping sound

dudu-lai We both know about this. And to use reboot from the top slide bar is not a solution, is just a workaround. But this problem with the popping sound on reboot must be solved. I didn't have this popping sound on reboot until the last update. DUDU team must do something about this.

I am also having this problem on my 2017 Prius JBL with a HiWorld Canbus.

MihaiFlorin These two restarts are different and will be optimized at a later date

VishBK Video providing version information and popping sound

I just bought a anti pop sound circuit board with delay timer to try if it can help.
It is so loud, that i am afraid that the subwoofer could break.
It also comes from the speakers but it not so loud.
Therefore i will try that device until it is found what causes some head units to pop.
In normal use everything is fine, but after some days the head unit turns off,and then you can't do anything about it. In normal use you can choose how to reboot but not when the head unit is completely off.

VishBK Does the radio make a “crackling” sound when I turn it on after turning off and restarting the car?
The “crackling” sound when manually restarting the radio will be addressed in the future
I replied to MihaiFlorin in the above message about this issue
