  • Opel Insignia Center console not working

steefl86 I don't think there's a dedicated versions of Dudu for specific cars, the head unit is the same only difference is in cables and frames.

Witam ,witam.

Bury I didn’t express myself clearly — I meant the CAN decoder you received. It might not be suitable for your model. After I changed the radio, I lost the turn signal sound, and the central locking indicator stays lit all the time because there’s no full communication with the car’s computer. The turn signal sound was originally emitted either by the factory radio or the display (I’m not entirely sure), and when I activate one of the indicators, the light turns off (there are no errors in the system and everything works fine). I had to buy a small speaker that now emits the turn signal sound. Opels are quirky like that, and I’ve just ordered a different CAN decoder myself, since I currently have the option for a Meriva from 2011, but mine is a 2012.

The control from the button panel only started working for me after I connected the plug I previously mentioned to the cable that was originally connected to the factory display

Bury The canbus adapter is also very important. Do you have a photo of it? If not, it shows the model in Settings->About->Model series

Bury Scroll further down the list of manufacturers - Opel models are in there, further down from GM.

UK_Matt I'll take the radio out and take the photo, just bit busy with work. I tried most of the Opel models in canbus. And the thing is there is no power going into the buttons because they dont eve light up.

Bury I found a picture of your interface and there appears to be three connectors on the back. The black vertical connector on the top left is the important one for the volume and rotary control. If this is connected then I'm stumped. This should be the power and CANbus connector.

            UK_Matt it is connected

Same model CANbus adapter in my Meriva B. I had an issue where the 8 pin CANbus plug had not clipped into the socket of the Dudu7 (completely my fault) and it worked it's way loose during installation. The display would intermittently show the doors open and the fan controls being used but volume control and the SWC buttons were unreliable. After fixing the connector securely it all works well.

TL : DR: Check: Settings->About->Model name. If the text string ends Unknown CANbus version double check the 8 pin CANbus plug.

Bury I currently have the same CAN decoder, but with SW version: V0009, and now it plays the turn signal sounds through the built-in speaker. With the previous CAN decoder, I had to connect an additional speaker for the turn signals, and there was a constant central locking error (red door with a key icon) that would disappear when the turn signal was activated, but it would come back shortly after. And just like our friend UK_Matt already mentioned, double-check all the wiring connections and make sure everything is properly secured. You might also try disconnecting the car battery for an hour.

UK_Matt I can't find the setting you are talking about.

steefl86 I checked like 3-4 times and everything seems to be alright. Maybe cables are damaged or the panel itself is broken but everything worked alright when I had the original radio.

Maybe there is indeed a damaged wire in the harness, or a faulty connector in the control panel. Perhaps a pin is broken? Maybe you could check if the panel works when you reconnect the original radio? Try the option of disconnecting the battery for about an hour.

steefl86 Disconnecting battery didn't work. Later I'll try setting up the original radio to see if there's something wrong with the panel or mb with the harness

I've changed the can bus adapter and... it works now 😃 some buttons are a bit messed up like "nav" button starts radio but most importantly volume knob works, thx for the help.

Bury Which brand of CANBUS bus box is compatible with the pushbutton? This may be helpful to others

I have the sister model of this car and Simplesoft (XP) GM-SS-04 or Hiworld works the best!

@dudu-lai If we want to add canbus functionality, do we it via DUDU OS or do we need to contact canbus manufacturers? I have some canbus commands for some features/buttons not supported by any manufacturers
