The car model: Toyota Corolla 2.0 Touring Sports Executive (with JBL sound system), 2019 version from the Netherlands.
The CANBUS box used is RZ-FT01. When the DUDU7 first booted, steering wheel controls worked fine. Mekede first sent me a different cable harness with an RZ-FT02, but those were the wrong cables, so I've never used that.

What model is your car and what brand is CANBUS?

03data After using the correct harness, replace the FT-01 box with the RZ-FT-02 CANBUS box!
As far as I know, only the RZ-FT-02 model can be used with JBL audio.

I tested G2 and G3, and found > 12v.
I then tried again to install the head unit, with the FT02. It actually turned on this time. Sound worked too (although the volume wasn't functioning too well). After 10 mins of setting up things, the screen turned dark again. This time I saw that even though nothing was readable, it didn't turn completely off, it just set the brightness to extremely low, so I could barely tell if it was even on at all.
What could be causing this? Is there a way to reset the unit (without using the UI), so I can at least test what's causing it?

After some more testing, it seems that for some reason the screen backlight just turns off. The screen is still responsive, but can only vaguely read things, when shining light on it myself. It works again for like 10 mins after not having had power for a while (full reboot?). I'm not sure how I can force a reboot without using the interface.

Did the situation improve by connecting only the G zone power harness and not the other harnesses?

I measured 14.5V with engine on, and 12.4V with engine off. I've tried connecting only the basic cables, but that did not seem to work. Pressing the "reset" button next to the microphone did not make the backlight turn on again (though it did reboot), so I'm guessing this is not a software issue. I checked for bent pins, but they look fine too.
A new cable harness should arrive in 2 weeks, but I doubt that will fix it 🙁

Do you have any other ideas?

Nope, the rest of the car is stock. The head unit is the only thing I was unhappy with.

Smileup I don't know anything about wiring but just an observation. In your most recent video you don't have main wiring harness connected to dudu7 (next to where fuse is on back of head unit). Again, just a newbie observation.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.
There are other videos in previous comment where the unit is plugged in and I was trying to connect it in different ways and also measuring while the unit is plugged in but I only measured the G1 and G2 on the unit side.
The last one is just for measuring if the power is present or not on other places.
In the video it is visible that G3 is a pair of cables.

One goes to the CANBUS RZ-FT01
Second goes to what seems to be a antenna connector but it the wire is not connected anywhere - it just sits in the connector which does not have anything on the other side (the other male connector coming from the car)

So my conclusion is that the G3 signal is coming from the CANBUS RZ-FT01 which I also measured and saw nothing on the meter and expect to see 12 volts when the ignition is on.

Same exact issue here. Unit was working great. I went back to canbus settings and plugged in a different vehicle make and model & now my head unit is stuck on a black screen.
How can we reboot / reset the system without access to the software?
Clicking the reset button on the side of the head unit does not work. I mean it does restart the head unit but it's back to the black screen after rebooting.

I started looking closely at the supplied connectors and saw one more black wire pin almost out of its connector. I pushed it back and connected again and for the first time I saw the unit booting. The booting did not finish though - it is now just black screen and I did not see it doing that again. I assume it is in standby now.

A new set of cables is sent to my place to fix my current issue of the G3 (ACC red wire) fell out of its connector and I don't know where to put it back. I expect this to be the wire which wakes the head unit up from standby on ignition.

My experience so far is bad quality of supplied connectors (pins pushed out of them on insert) because I don't have this issue when connecting the OEM head unit.
I hope once everything is connected properly there will be no issues.

Figured out where to connect the G3 cable and now the unit booted fully. I am not able to Finish the initial setup as I don't know which canbus decoder model to select in step 6.

It is Corolla Touring Sports 2019 - present which I told about from the beginning

Unfortunately the wheel buttons are not responding
Volume +/- and </> are ignored when I try to add them in the SWC functionality

When I try learning new buttons I keep the button pressed for long but nothing happens

Did the seller send me the wrong CANBUS decoder?
