gismo I purchased a 13" version...and i didn't received the correct wire harness and canbus. Also the fascia doesn't fit to the t6 dashboard and there is nonoption to mount the device in the dashboard

creed So do as @dudu-langzi says. To fit the 13" screen, and if you have the same dashboard as I, you'll probably need the frame for the 9.5" unit (including holes for the air vents) and then stack the 13" on it with a 9"-13" adapter. It will block the air vents, I guess.

gismo I want to install a 13" for my T6 California 2019. Mekede support told me that "it will fit but will need a secondary frame and the screen will stick out a bit" (and will cover most of the vents, this is me guessing).

Since you successfully installed the 10.36" do you think 13" is too big? Also, can you help me figure out which connector I need to ask for? Thanks.

alpinegecko yes 13" will cover vents/buttons. I have the same dashboard and 10.36" is the biggest that doesn't cover anything (see above pictures). For how much 13" covers, I'd recommend cutting a cardboard to the size of the casing and hold it onto the dashboard.
I also have a MY2019, it needs the 52 pin Quadlock (aka MQB Quadlock).

PS: Looking at your dashboard - you have the vents with wheels. Make sure Mekede sends the correct frame. For 9.5" they appear to only stock the one for vents without wheels so no cutouts for wheels. But one with cutouts is available on AliExpress etc (but buy without harness, take the harness from Mekede/Dudu!). Or if you can do with 10.36", get the frame I used, it really looks good and just goes into the radio location so retains your vents etc. because you keep your original vents frame. https://www.skyfame.com/skyfame-car-frame-fascia-adapter-canbus-box-decoder-android-radio-dash-fitting-panel-kit-for-volkswagen-caravelle-p2848.html (again buy it without harness). Don't know whether Mekede offers it now, I have recommended it to them anyways.

gismo Thank you very much for the help. I made a cardboard model and indeed, it's quite big. :-D
Any suggestions to calculate how much of the buttons below the head unit (a/c, glass heating, rear and recycle) I will cover? I have dimensions for the screen but I found no reference for where the brackets sit with respect to the screen so I cannot figure it out.

alpinegecko Not sure I understand - with the cardboard you now can see yourself and I already said that I consider 10.36" to be the biggest without covering anything.
If you're asking about how much it will stick out so that you can try a hit & miss of buttons hidden behind the screen, you'll find pictures on Duduauto's telegram channel (show your Dudu section). Here's an example of a T5, similar enough: https://t.me/duduauto/108761/122313
Not desirable IMHO (too big and too many reflections due to wrong angle) but do your own research and assessment...

Which CANBUS box are you guys usingin VW T6? Which is best? I do get climate control signal and steering wheels buttons are also working. But I don't get the door signal to work?

creed you've to set it to VW/PQ not Multivan or Caravelle. True for both Raise and Hiworld, I have both but use Raise as it's better supported by DuduOS.

              gismo

Thanks. I have set it to Multivan. Will try your suggestion. Thanks again

              gismo Hi gismo,
I'm new here, contemplating the purchase of a dudu7 (and saving up for it 😅).
Would you mind if I asked a few questions?
I'm wondering about the adapter frame you bought, how it is mounted to the original vent frame. I see the two "cross-bars" on your pictures but fail to understand how they are attached to the vent frame.
Also, did you have an OEM DAB & GPS antenna? If yes, were you able to retain those?

CDRX the bars are supplied with the frame and screw onto the back of the frame after the frame is clipped into the panel. The bars build up tension so that the frame cannot unclip itself. To make sure, I also applied a bit of hot glue (car is used off-road and on gravel roads) but that's not part of the official mounting...
I don't have OEM DAB/GPS antennas. Dudu7 has double band GPS, not sure if the OEM antenna can do both bands.
I placed the supplied GPS antenna under the dashboard (behind main instrument cluster), reception is good.

Thanks for clarifying! I understand better now.
I guess I'll have to figure it out with the DAB antenna and see which is best for GPS.
What microphone do you use for calling? Were you able to retain the original one?

CDRX yes I use the original VW mic as described here https://tx-board.de/threads/fazit-9-radio-mit-wireless-carplay-von-aliexpress.154722/post-2155664 (scroll down for more info/pictures). I used the board on my old radio already and retained it on the Dudu7. Very good call quality, noise cancelling works as well.

Oh nice! I guess I'll definitely have to practice my soldering and work on understanding electronic components better, once I'm ready to make the change. And I'll need to find a viable power source, my USBs are already all spoken for, even before I've installed the radio 🤣

                  Hi all,
Has anyone on here fitted the Dudu7 to a multivan with a Dynaudio audio system? Is it supported directly via canbus adapter or are there adaptations required?

I'm also wondering about the 360 setup in a T6, whether that's been done successfully with the standard mounting underneath the wing mirrors.

                  Grateful for any experience/tips.

You'll need a special adapter if I remember correctly (I don't have Dynaudio) - you'd better ask seller. The canbox alone is not sufficient.
