Nielsvda1705 Hello, Since there is no complete set available for the volkwagen transporter i ordered the universal kit of the dudu7 11.5 inch display. But there is nog power or can bus cable with it. Can someone tell me which one i need? The old car radio is the RNS 315 from VW. The transporter is a T5.1 from 2012 Thanks in advance
ciubaka Nielsvda1705 there's a ready frame kit for T5, you don't have to buy full set, you can buy dudu7 separately and frame + harness separately
gismo Nielsvda1705 T5.1 from 2012 2012 should be T5.2 though. Important difference in terms of connection. Yes, take a picture of the Quadlock connector. In case others read this prior to ordering: I had no problem ordering a kit including Canbus adapter for my T6 (aka T5.3) and it would also be possible for T5.2, but they need pictures of the Quadlock and the dashboard. My kit works well but I had to select VW PQ as protocol (Multivan and Caravelle should work but don't).

gismo creed @Bettman66 doesn't have it in a T6 but I do. During the time the T6 was built, there was a change of the Quadlock (from 40 Pin to 52 Pin) plus there are different dashboards. Dudu7 installed very well in my MY 2019 T6 but you need to specify to sales (by pictures) which Quadlock you have and which dashboard. Canbus wiring was no problem - what precisely doesn't fit on yours? This is the 10.36" in the dashboard for "round corner radios", the 9.5" would sit flush between the vents but I wanted a steeper angle.
creed gismo I purchased a 13" version...and i didn't received the correct wire harness and canbus. Also the fascia doesn't fit to the t6 dashboard and there is nonoption to mount the device in the dashboard
alpinegecko gismo I want to install a 13" for my T6 California 2019. Mekede support told me that "it will fit but will need a secondary frame and the screen will stick out a bit" (and will cover most of the vents, this is me guessing). Since you successfully installed the 10.36" do you think 13" is too big? Also, can you help me figure out which connector I need to ask for? Thanks.
gismo creed So do as @dudu-langzi says. To fit the 13" screen, and if you have the same dashboard as I, you'll probably need the frame for the 9.5" unit (including holes for the air vents) and then stack the 13" on it with a 9"-13" adapter. It will block the air vents, I guess.
gismo alpinegecko yes 13" will cover vents/buttons. I have the same dashboard and 10.36" is the biggest that doesn't cover anything (see above pictures). For how much 13" covers, I'd recommend cutting a cardboard to the size of the casing and hold it onto the dashboard. I also have a MY2019, it needs the 52 pin Quadlock (aka MQB Quadlock). PS: Looking at your dashboard - you have the vents with wheels. Make sure Mekede sends the correct frame. For 9.5" they appear to only stock the one for vents without wheels so no cutouts for wheels. But one with cutouts is available on AliExpress etc (but buy without harness, take the harness from Mekede/Dudu!).
