Best OBDII?

mircondini it connects automatically for me. The data you see depends on the car and DuduOS integration. For my VW, I see more data. I don't use it with the DuduOS functionality at the moment though, because DuduOS acts like a (better) trip computer and I'm more interested in detailed information e.g. on clutch temperatures and DPF status, so I'm using it with Carscanner/VAG-DPF again. If I do that, the DuduOS functionality stops of course, as the (any) OBD Adapter can only serve one client (i.e. app) at a time.

PS: In case of connection issues, make sure you have the latest firmware on the adapter. See its manual, you need to update using their app.

I would like to be able to view data on the Dudu7 engine as well. What hardware works perfectly with the Dudu7? And which software can you recommend?

I am interested in Oil Temperature, Oil Pressure, Boost Pressure etc

I'm looking for this for a VW T5.2

Regarding device:
For Dudu - anything which shows itself on Bluetooth as named "OBDII" - for instance this one:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/154515419444 - Yunsun or Junsun ones are fine. Others like smaller and cheaper indentify themselves as "Cafu" or something else. Dudu doesn't see them.
You won't be able to see any details except coolant temp and speed and revs with Dudu widget.
However, you can use on Dudu separate app, which is called Torque Pro (a few dollars for the paid version). Then as a separate app on Dudu unit you have access to hundreds of parameters.
For VW you need to add so called extended PIDs to Torque app. It's fairly easy, just take a look here:

Since new version of Torque you can't add these files to .torque folder as it doesn't pick up. Now, these folders are under Android > Data > com.prowl (that is torque app) and then same - extendedpids and vehicles.

Blackbandt I'm looking for this for a VW T5.2

I have a T6 and stopped using Torque Pro as even with added custom PIDs (what a hassle) it's way inferior to what Carscanner (https://www.carscanner.info/) shows out of the box. I can even see clutch temps 😉 .
I'd recommend choosing a proper OBD dongle, eg vGate vLinker MC. Reads faster and more protocols than the cheaper ones. Doesn't drain the battery.

Mikescotland Thanks for the detailed explanation. And yes, that definitely helps me. I actually know the app and would have been my first option. Only with the obd dongle I didn't know which one works perfectly

Marchnz how do I connect the obd link to my dudu7? The Dudu tells me to enter a password on the phone but there isn’t any phone

hi all, i have already buy a vlinker mc+ ble bluetooth for teyes lux one with dudu os (UIS7862). First connection everything ok all meter works, I left the car and then locked it. I got back in and the ODB module no longer connected. I tried deleting the pairing and redoing it, but it still didn't connect. The only way to get the connection to work is to delete the Bluetooth Mac, deselect the interface type, restart the device, and try pairing again. After doing this, everything worked, but when I turned it back on, the meters and the connection didn't work.

Lock the car. The next time you drive, the OBD cannot be connected. Please try unplugging and plugging in the OBD hardware. If it can be connected after unplugging, the problem is that the OBD hardware went into sleep mode after you locked the car, but it did not end after you unlocked it again.

Lt_Winters33 Check if your vLinker is also paired to BT2 (Settings/Android Settings/Bluetooth). If it is also paired to BT2 that connection takes preference over the BLE one that DuduOS uses internally and that could lead to your results.

NB I encountered this with my vLinker MC+ when it go newly supported by DuduOS, before I had used it in BT2 (classic Android) with third party apps. In fact this is how I use it again because parallel use of classic BT and BLE is not supported by the dongle (only one at a time) and my third party apps (for DPF, clutch temperatures, etc.) don't find the dongle, if it's paired to DuduOS internally via BLE. In classic BT they find it and work ok. I'm fine with that because ordinary stuff such as coolant temps comes via the Canbus adapter also.

DUDU-Meng hi mate, I have update on firmware. This morning I have lock the car( basically I never lock car) but I try do what you say. I have already installed last release just for information.
Edit I have already try to plug and unplug odb adapter and try to reconnect but I see Mac address and no connection

gismo thank you for advice but I try to connect vlinker with BT2, input pin and seems to connect but don't appear in BT2 connection. Try to reset Bluetooth connection but nothing happenen.
Edit after several hour BT2 odb doesn't connect and no connection in duduos

Connect Carscanner or Torque etc and it'll work ok. OBD apps make the connection once it's paired. DuduOS internal functionality cannot access OBD on BT2 though.

Lt_Winters33 can you pair the vLinker to your smartphone? If yes, go to the vGate website and download the firmware tool for vLinker, check/update its firmware, try again. Mine is on current firmware and works both as BLE or in BT2 standard Android (either or, not simultaneously of course).
