• DUDU OS
  • Best OBDII?

gismo and yet my newly purchased vLinker MC+ wont connect to my DuDu 7 Head unit. I have a collection of 5 now and none work.

johnyfalco it's even officially supported now (v3.6 release). Mine connects fine, either in the devices settings or in the Android BT settings of my Dudu7. On older DuduOS versions, only the Android BT settings worked.

johnyfalco What's more, Vgate iCar Pro 2S also works on the vLinker MC+ setting. At first it had problems reading fuel level or coolant temperature, but after a few starts everything works regularly. Connecting to OBD is very easy. Can you show how you try to connect OBD to DuduOS?

i have like this on my dudu7.
        Does this mean it working?

wolf-jr This is Canbus or external TPMS, not OBD2.
The data on your second Foto is OBDII or canbus

Slavus does it automatically connect at launch? i seem to have to reconnect it every time, every monring for it to connect correctly.

JhonnyD yes i mean the second one, does it mean i successfully connect my dudu7 to OBDII?

donne Yes, it connects automatically every time.

gismo which model do you use? I just update to 3.6 and would like add an OBD II (as my canbus doesn't read car data)

SDeath I have this one, it worked on the 1st setup and then it stop working, worth to say, when it worked on Dudu I was impossible to make it work with torque, and then after a reboot, it works on all apps but not with Dudu...

                mircondini vGate vLinker MC+

Got vGate vLinker MC+ and DUDU7 detect it (but not still shown on the status bar🤔) ... but, the only values readable are fuel, H2O and what else? If I would like use OBDII even with an app (on DUDU7 or phone) how to proceed?

mircondini Du musst ein Canbus Protokoll einstellen, egal welcher.
                  Dann wird etwas angezeigt.
                  Ich weiß nicht wieso.

JhonnyD I already have a canbus protocol

gismo Hi, I bought the same OBD, but I need to reconnect every time and only water temerature had shown. Any suggestion?

mircondini it connects automatically for me. The data you see depends on the car and DuduOS integration. For my VW, I see more data. I don't use it with the DuduOS functionality at the moment though, because DuduOS acts like a (better) trip computer and I'm more interested in detailed information e.g. on clutch temperatures and DPF status, so I'm using it with Carscanner/VAG-DPF again. If I do that, the DuduOS functionality stops of course, as the (any) OBD Adapter can only serve one client (i.e. app) at a time.

PS: In case of connection issues, make sure you have the latest firmware on the adapter. See its manual, you need to update using their app.

I would like to be able to view data on the Dudu7 engine as well. What hardware works perfectly with the Dudu7? And which software can you recommend?

I am interested in Oil Temperature, Oil Pressure, Boost Pressure etc

I'm looking for this for a VW T5.2

                        Blackbandt
                        Regarding device:
For Dudu - anything which shows itself on Bluetooth as named "OBDII" - for instance this one:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/154515419444 - Yunsun or Junsun ones are fine. Others like smaller and cheaper indentify themselves as "Cafu" or something else. Dudu doesn't see them.
You won't be able to see any details except coolant temp and speed and revs with Dudu widget.
However, you can use on Dudu separate app, which is called Torque Pro (a few dollars for the paid version). Then as a separate app on Dudu unit you have access to hundreds of parameters.
For VW you need to add so called extended PIDs to Torque app. It's fairly easy, just take a look here:
                        https://www.vwroc.com/forums/topic/32235-any-experienced-torque-pro-users-on-the-forum/

Since new version of Torque you can't add these files to .torque folder as it doesn't pick up. Now, these folders are under Android > Data > com.prowl (that is torque app) and then same - extendedpids and vehicles.

                        Hope this helps
