AC Controls not working in 2016 Toyota Prius

I installed my Dudu7 head unit in my 2016 Toyota Prius and most of the CANBUS functions work but the AC controls won't work for some reason.

When I use the physical buttons, the Dudu7 reflects the changes but no changes made from the head unit work.

I tried installing the touch screen assistant app and that doesn't work either unfortunately.

The CANBUS I was sent is a Simple TY101 CANBUS box.

Can Dudu customer service or you guys help me get the AC controls working?

SeanChristopher Can the OEM screen control the air conditioner?

dudu-lai yes, it had Climate Control on the head unit.
I'm also experiencing issues with the energy flow plugin on the home screen not working and not showing anything, even when the energy flow section in the Vehicle Details app and Vehicle Info app are working.

Could these issues be caused by the wrong CANBUS for my vehicle being used?

I'm using the Simple TY101 CANBUS that the guys from Dudu from the Mekede Mall store sent me with my Dudu7 head unit.

When selecting that brand CANBUS, and then selecting Toyota, a Prius option doesn't come up. The options that works the with some functionality so far are the Toyota 2018 Rav4 and Toyota Camry Xp, but with both options the Climate Control doesn't work and the Energy Flow meters don't all work right. There are no 2016 Toyota Prius or Toyota Hybrid options for the CANBUS I received.

I'm not sure if that's contributing to the Climate Control and Energy Flow sections not working right, but figured it was worth mentioning just in case it's relevant.

SeanChristopher Select XP, Toyota, Camry, 2018 model.
Factory settings - Password 108, enable the test protocol, then download the Touchscreen Assistant app from the App Store to see if it can control the air conditioning.

dudu-lai I tried the steps you recommended again and the touch assistant app doesn't control the AC either for some reason. It shows the changes I make with the physical controls but the changes I make on the head unit don't do anything unfortunately..

I have the same issue. Eventually he told me that , that main screen doesnt work except for the fan control, which is unfortunate.

Chaz517 that's disappointing. Hopefully they can either fix the issue with the next update, or either through the head unit or CANBUS.

SeanChristopher Do you have a video/photo of the AC unit being controlled by the original screen?

Please document the CANBUS logs showing the AC unit being uncontrollable on DUDU.

I can control the AC and heat no problem with this screen below. However, the other screen that shows the dual zones, and the temperature, won't let me change the temperature from the screen, I can only change the speed of the fan.

dudu-lai unfortunately I don't have a video of the original head unit. I didn't think to take any videos of the OEM head units various functions before installing the Dudu7 head unit. But I'll get on documenting the CANBUS logs showing the AC unit being uncontrollable on the Dudu7 head unit.

For the Energy meter or Energy tile widget on the home screen, is there any way to get that to work properly?
I'll take pics of the various screens to show exactly what I'm talking about but the Energy flow pages don't work properly depending on where it's accessed from.

SeanChristopher If you have a Raise CANBUS extension box, that would be great. Some Prius owners are using it.

Simple's extension box might not be compatible; I need to submit these videos and logs to Simple so they can confirm if it's suitable for your car.

dudu-lai okay, I'll work on getting the videos and logs done and sent over as soon as possible. My apologies for the delay, I was out of town and my Prius with the Dudu7 was at home so I didn't have access to it for some days.

Back home now and I'll get on making the vids!

As for possibly needing a different CANBUS, is that something I would contact the DuduAuto rep who I bought the Dudu7 head unit from? They sent me this CANBUS with my head unit saying it would be the optimal one for my car so I'm hoping they can send out the right one if needed.

SeanChristopher First, record the CANBUS log, and after the XP engineer confirms it, decide whether to replace the CANBUS box.
