DUDU-Meng Hi, previously I was on version 3.6. Back in version 3.6, I don't recall any incident of the "Previous" and "Next Song" SWC not working when switching between CarPlay and Radio app.

DUDU-Meng Hi, I have installed this app. Unfortunately, it doesn't solve the behavior I described in the original post. I have installed and rebooted the head unit just to be sure.

I still experienced the same behavior as follows:

Open the CarLink app to start the CarPlay connection.
After CarPlay has started, play music from the CarPlay. The "Previous" and "Next Song" SWC is working on CarPlay.
Then, open the radio app to start playing the radio. The "Previous" and "Next Song" SWC does not work on the radio, but the "Previous" and "Next Song" SWC is controlling the song on the CarPlay (I can see the song is changing directly on my iPhone).

A better word to describe this issue is the CarLink / CarPlay is stealing the "Previous" and "Next Song" SWC even though it is running in the background without music playing. The radio running on the foreground (e.g. in full screen) doesn't get the "Previous" and "Next Song" SWC.

DUDU-Meng Hi, I have updated to the latest firmware available today via OTA. Sad to report the issue still persist. The CarPlay running in the background is stealing the previous and next song SWC, unable to control the Radio app running in the foreground. I have to resort to closing the CarLink and/or Radio app to make the SWC working on the radio app.

May I ask what type of steering wheel installation you are using?
We did not encounter this issue during our testing, and I noticed that your system information does not have a canbus setting

DUDU-Meng Hi, you're correct that my DUDU7 installation doesn't use a canbus. I am using the steering wheel control that comes stock with my car (2011 Toyota Prius XW30), it is connected using a wiring adapter / harness designed specific to my car model.

DUDU-Meng Hi, my layout is minimalistic mode. I think my autoplay is set to the FM radio app as I usually listen to the radio by default. My CarLink app does not auto start.

I think in order to reproduce the issue, the radio app has to be running first, then only you start the CarLink app. Once the CarPlay is connected, all the "Previous" and "Next Song" SWC is directed to CarPlay. You then go back to the radio app (it wasn't close, it is just stop playing and still running in the background) and play the radio again. The "Previous" and "Next Song" SWC is still directed to CarPlay, even though the radio app is now in the foreground and actively playing.

The next solution I am going to try is to reinstall the official release 3.6E using the local installation method.

I couldn't reproduce this issue on 3.6E following your operation method. The SWC can control the audio player that is in focus. You can back up the necessary data and then try again after resetting.

YAOXILONG Hi, I have tried local installation of the final release 3.6E without factory reset. Sadly that doesn’t fix the issue.

I have tried reset the SWC and relearning the SWC, this also doesn’t make a difference.

What do you mean by “try again after resetting”?

I’m sad that this behavior is not the same for me. The SWC is sent to CarLink, but then when the radio becomes active, it still send the SWC command to CarLink. Sometime the opposite would happen, the SWC command is sent to the radio when it is in focus by closing and reopening the radio app, but when the CarPlay is back in focus, the SWC command is being sent to the radio in the background.

I’m not dare to factory reset my dudu7 as I worry that I have to redo all the settings, especially the 360 panoramic camera that was calibrated by a third party installer for a fee.

If this is what your refering to i reported this a while back and they confirmed the same issue. I no longer used the dudu remote because of this. Im using a much more user friendly remote then the dudu remote.

Skillzo1 Hi, I have looked at your issue, it seems different from mine.

I am using the SWC that is built-in to my car, it is wired directly to DUDU7 head unit via the resistive SWC key 1 and key 2. Whereas you are using a Bluetooth remote control.
You seems to be having issue passing the SWC command to CarLink / Android Auto. Whereas I have no issue passing the SWC command to any apps initially (my SWC works in CarLink), but when the CarLink app is running and connected (my case is Apple CarPlay), then that's where the issue of DuduOS passing the SWC command to the wrong app can be observed. For example, during an active CarPlay session, if I turn back on the radio, the SWC will still be sent to the CarPlay running in the background rather than to the radio app in the foreground.

I just tested it myself. When Hicar is in the foreground, SWC controls CarPlay music. When switched to the background, SWC controls local FM after switching local FM to the foreground.
Please test it using this method.

DUDU-Meng Hi, when I switch back to the FM radio, the CarPlay connection is still active and running the background. I did not disconnect the CarPlay connection nor close the CarLink app.

That’s how I am to able to observe that the previous and next song SWC command is being responded on my iPhone, while the CarLink app is in background and radio app in foreground.
