Yup, for sure. Amp will be here in a few days, I'll report back with findings.

But yeah, for sure reset all sound settings - there's a few options in various places to reset each aspect. I do feel like it might help to a certain degree to get the audio volume back. And also give the app a go that I mentioned - install and/or open the Sound Master app on dudu. There's users configs with various settings. Some of them, once applied, might give you the boost you're looking for

reg66 we pulled the amp all the white noise and engine noise is gone. Small low pop still when radio powers off with ignition turned off.

abidali Yes you can. I'd take a bit thicker wire (less resistance), maybe AWG12
Ive got:

two amps under each front seat (ground is in the middle central console to the frame and from this point is going to ANY device that processes audio
DSP and another small amp under the glovebox
HU in the console

Now when I had HU and DSP connected to a different ground (still frame but near the front window) I got quite loud alternator whining. Connecting these two grounds didn't solve it. However, when I connected HU and DSP to the amps grpound via AWG12 - all disappeared and no noise.
So, no. Do not leave any ground connection to the HU except separate ground wire to the amp ground connection point. If you still have some noise- disconnect radio antenna from the HU and check - this sometimes causes ground loop.

Skillzo1 Your installer /tuner does not have an oscilloscope while installing and tuning car audio? Omg, change the installer. It's a basic thing to check if the amp does not clip (and 40USD one is completely fine for this job)...

Mikescotland welp maybe he does i dont know. Altho you wouldnt understand hes more then capable of installing tuning the radio. Hes done 1000s of installs been doing it over 30 years. Got out of the business over 10 years ago for something better. Just to prove some of his work not that it matters but again… here is my truck. Everything 100% wired and tuned by him.

Mikescotland i just really trust what he says. Hes a great friend i have known for years personally. He has no reason to stear me wrong. Ive seen him do some amazing things with installs thru the years. Ive known him since im about 18… im 43 now. His attention to detail related to anything sound is mind blowing.

Skillzo1 Some people can tune "by ear" which is magic sometimes for me. I can hear clipping but not light distortion. Besides I am lazy. So I have tools to identify problems 🙂

reg66 yes we tried the app and the sound profiles iniside. He didnt like them so he started from scratch and spent a little more time tuning it without the amp.

It doesnt spund bad its the best the hardware is gunna do. Definatly not bad at all now. I can live with it pretty happy.

I mentioned the tool you was talkin about to him. He laughed and said yeah we had them. Everytime i tuned a radio by ear they ended up about the same as with the tool lol. He said he could tell by ear if somwthing is clipping.

I have bought the AliExpress In-Line amplifier as well. The sound improved and was definatly louder. But it stopped working after 1 week and now is back in its package to return to AliExpress. 🙁

Are there actual HQ amps/DSP`s like these inline units that have Real quality? Not those 80w ones that are actually 10 or 20watts. It may cost more then the $ 30ish prices of course.

G64 noone knows except you what setup you have, what inline amp and what for you bought etc. So start from the beginning saying what you've got, how it's connected, including speakers.
Someone can recommend an inline amp and without knowing what you've got, it might be a very short experience by blowing up your speakers.
DSP with D class amps (Chinese, not the best quality but passable) will set you off by around 400Usd.
Inline amp, around 80W RMS, good quality, alpine / pioneer etc is around 150-200 USD.

The setup is fairly basic. I have a Dudu7 that is in my Mercedes Vito W639 through an ISO radio block. In the front I have a set of upgraded Hertz speakers and and in the back some Pioneers. All on the standard wiring. Nothing special tbh.

I have thought about an amp/dsp that I would connect to the spdif out from the Dudu7 and connect the speakers to that amp. But the Amp versions that you place between the Dudu7 and the stock wiring is a very easy to integrate option. Would be great if there was such a solution but with a bit better quality.

I did just try the "All audio resets" I'm the dudu7 and there I found a setting that limits the volume level system wide. I have set this to a higher setting and the audio does seem to be louder now. So that's a good step up. But some real better audio would be even better 👍

G64 so if you upgraded speakers to hertz, I believe they can take at least 60W without any problem.
I've tested (in my friend's cars) the following

Vibe Micro Car Audio Amplifier Class D 4 Channel 65 W RMS
Pioneer D1004 (4 channels 45 W).
Both are mini inline amps with small footprint. Power is true RMS power, not like you said, these "40 W amps" that truly give 8 W.

They both gave simple crossovers. If you want a dsp with amps, some Chinese offer it (Sennuopu DS-M10 for instance, 8 channel 50W and dsp for 10 channels) but the footprint is "normal" not mini and your need to place it probably in the boot and run wiring.

G64 the only amplifier that will truly make a difference is dedicated amplifier with its own power cable directly from battery with inline fuse close to battery. A decent 75w RMS amplifier will not cost morw than $250 and also wiring will easily be under $50.

Anything inline will be adding another TDA chip in line to already amplified signal from built in TDA chip.

Above configuration even using RCA will be better sounding. This has been my experience so far. Make sure to disable DTS and apply crossovers.

I'm not sure if I used the correct words to describe "In-line" amplifier but what I meant where the amps on the images. The one I bought was the one with the V logo on it (not the Kuerl). These kind of amps would be the easiest option for my installation but I'm not sure if there are any of these that are actually good quality. The sound was definitely better and more powerful but it stopped working after 1 week :-(

Edit: I now see both seem to be of the Kuerl brand but I meant the one without the Kuerl text on top of it. That's the one I bought.

No problems until now.

G64 that's why I gave you two options with super small amp footprint, with low and high level inputs, which have confirmed proper output power.
