I've tried using this canbus box also. No reverse detection. But this one allows the parking sensors to work correctly.

I've checked the vehicle with diagnostic and it is detecting reverse.

What do you suggest?

I need to alter the aux ratio. As you can see from the photo the ratio is way out either using this canbus box.

Stefancapri Yes, the CANBUS box doesn't detect the R gear signal, so it doesn't output 12V to the DUDU switch.
Are you using the original camera or an aftermarket camera? With an aftermarket camera, you can connect the reverse light control switch.
I've submitted a request to view it on Google Drive. The only image I found in the link you sent is public, and I believe the resolution is incorrect, not displaying the original vehicle system. You'll need to change the original vehicle screen size and resolution in "Vehicle Information" > "Vehicle Settings."

Thank you for the reply. Here's the odd thing, the canbus box is giving the reverse signal when in 3rd gear under acceleration only. No other gear. I've checked with a diagnostic tool and it sees reverse in the the right place.

I am in contact with the supplier about the reverse thing, but hes being next to useless.

I've given access to the other photos now, sorry I thought I had.

I've been in the settings, I can only alter car screen settings and it makes no difference.

Normally, you can select the corresponding OEM screen size here

I've just done the latest update to see if that helped with options. No difference.

When checking in the canbus update part, it just says unknown canbus version.

Stefancapri Unknown CABNBUS version has no effect, it depends on whether the CANBUS box sends its version information to DUDU

Yes I have used this canbus box because the parking sensors are now working.

But obviously there are items in the original car menu you need to be able to access like oil level. I realise I could swap the screens but this would be a massive pain every time I needed to do it.

I can change car settings screen but it does not change anything, the options below do not change and are not manually changeable.

Stefancapri I'm very familiar with this CANBUS box. It requires selecting Raise-VW-PQ ALL-Low.
Similarly, access the AUX app to view the original vehicle system. If the resolution is incorrect or incomplete, press and hold the voice control button on the steering wheel for 10 seconds to switch the resolution. There are three resolutions available.
If the original car system still does not display, please refer to the picture to see if the wiring harness is connected correctly.

That's great, the aux is now fixed.

So without over complicating things.

The reverse signal is delivered over canbus to the box, is it the interface box that deciphers the signal to then send the reverse signal to the media unit?

Its really odd right now, it sends the reverse signal when only in 3rd gear under load. 🤷

I've tried talking to the loom supplier but they've just stopped replying, im way out of the return window. Its unlikely if I get just another box it will work any different? Better to get the signal from the lamp?

I spoke to the seller, they said that, the box is made for an automatic and its not able to give the signal for a manual.

I've soldered in a signal wire from the towbar box and seams to be working fine now.

I've run a wire from the reverse lamp. 2 issues after.

When selecting reverse in any position with no objects around it shows objects on screen until you get near to an object. It then resets. I've taken a screen recording with canbus readings.

The reverse sensing goes completely black screen flicking between. It dosent do it all the time but is quite irritating. I haven't got a recording yet because its difficult to predict. But it does not seam to do it when the engine is not on.

I have read that the voltage sent from the rear lights is not a full 12v when running due to the cambus lamp failure interface. Does the dudu require full voltage to see the reverse signal?

1.I watched the video and saw that the CANBUS box sent parking sensor data even when there was no obstacle. (What brand of CANBUS are you using? BSJ? You need to select Raise-VW-PQ ALL-Low)
2.Yes, it needs 12V full voltage to work correctly. From your description, this situation will occur when starting the car, which should be caused by unstable voltage. You need to add a 12V rectifier
