  • Toyota Prius NHW20 Canbus

Toyota Prius NHW20. None of the existing canbuses work correctly on the car. We tried LZ (HZ) - Climate control does not work, energy flow does not work, canbus settings in the old menu. Raise RZ-FT52 and RZ -FT02 canbuses until the first reboot of the device, energy flow and climate control work, everything is configured in the new "Car" menu, but the volume level always tends to zero, the voice assistant appears randomly, when the gasoline engine starts and the climate control is on! When the car is running on a high-voltage battery, the volume works fine! After the first reboot, the energy flow menu disappears and it is impossible to adjust the climate control! (I tried disconnecting the steering wheel buttons from the canbus, but nothing changed) The Raise website claims support for prius 05-06, but unfortunately it does not work correctly. I wrote on the website and to Raise e-mail, but no one answered me.

I am attaching a short video.[https://dropmefiles.com/2nooD]

What year is your car? Will the volume automatically drop to 0? (This requires confirmation of the SWC signal cable)
The wiring harness currently used by raise, please take more detailed photos

2006 car, SWC buttons completely disconnected from canbus and from radio. Volume automatically drops down to 0 and voice assistant randomly turns on when gasoline engine is running and climate control is on. when climate control is turned off or car is running on high-voltage battery, then volume works correctly. I will take photo of connection later, but it is better if I draw diagram. It seems to me that the canbus does not work correctly with the avc lan line.

@dudu-lai Volume drops to zero even if SWC wires are disconnected from canbus. CANBUS is over spamming with messages main unit (in comparison to LZ or any other adapter). Even if you disconnect ft52 android continue downgrading volume down. It looks like firmware in FT52 is totally broken.

Also there is no information about FT52 pinout, so we can't double check wiring. (Though it pretty easy and readable from PCB, but we would like to get this info from upstream developers.)

Unbelievable, what did the factory connectors look like, any pics?

dudu-lai Sasha has custom wiring, i have ready.
2 SWCs are on the last pins, i disconnected them and canbus still makes unit crazy.

I'll try to explain it schematically. My SWC (steering wheel buttons) are connected directly to the radio, bypassing the canbus. AVC-Line is connected according to the following diagram :

Can h and can l from obd connector:

        Pins according to this diagram:
Pin 1 canbus in gnd android, pin 2 +batt, pin 9 acc, pin G17 and G20 directly to dudu to the button pins (G6-G20, G7-G17)
The cross marks what we have removed from the system. Instead of the standard monitor - dudu, and we do not use the standard radio.

          Did you disconnect these two?

Sasha_White You did the right thing.

dudu-lai why then does the volume drop to zero?! The voice assistant appears randomly. Energy flow and climate control only work until the first reboot?! Then it doesn't work! On the canbus lz(hz) it showed open doors, but on raise it doesn't.

dudu-lai yes i disconnected them physically (picked photo from history).

How it may be incompatible if it is in raize's car support table and CANBUS app contains exact model? Does FT52 work at all in any other car?

Why does unit continue repeating volume down + voice assistant even if canbus disconnected?
After unit left in this state and i connect LZ adapter unit restores to normal operation.

KostyaSha Unplug the C connector from the DUDU device and go to SWC - Learn - Clear Learned button. Does this problem still occur?

dudu-lai i guess disconnect canbus is the same thing that you want to test us. So as soon as device stuck in decreasing volume we disconnect connect from connector. Device continue decreasing volume, SWC - Learn - Clear Learned button didn't change anything. I think somebody from Raize engineers should pay attention on this issue, i think dud itself is not a culprit because other adapters doesn't have such negative effect on unit.

Hello. After disabling can h and can l, the dynamic lines disappeared, but the volume worked normally! Climate control in the new menu works properly when you disable the protocol response check, but the energy flow does not work. PE information in the old menu contains data on the energy flow, but the divisions of the high-voltage battery are displayed incorrectly or not displayed at all! The volume in the old menu tends to the volume of dudu, this was not the case with other canbuses, I need more volume in the old menu than dudu itself. Why does the "about device" menu display the canbus version ft-rz-02? I have g-ft-rz52 installed ...

dudu-lai Hello, will there be any clarification on our problem?

Sasha_White Please follow the Raise documentation information and use the correct wiring harness and method of installation.

dudu-lai Everything is connected according to the instructions.

Sasha_White Are the pin definitions consistent with the documentation?

dudu-lai Of course everything matches. I checked it 3 times.
