dudu-lai lol - I should have checked the forum earlier today! I spent the day figuring out how to measure the field of view of the Front and Side cameras in the DUDU360 kit - so I just found out the same thing the hard way!
Thanks for the reply though!

From my testing today, I strongly suspect that the 4 cameras have the same internals and lenses and that they simply have different cases/enclosures. In addition to different cases, the default settings in the 360 Panorama software make the cameras initially look like they have different lenses with different fields of view... Even if you change the angle setting to '2D Org', the difference in 'Zoom' and 'Move' settings when comparing Front to Side may make them look like different cameras.
When I switch to '2D Org' and make settings the same then the Side and Front cameras appear identical and, after zooming out all the way, they seem to have the same fields of view as well.
When you first start up the 360 view it might appear like the round Side camera cannot show enough Field of View (FOV) for a long vehicle, however it could simply be because the default values in the software have it Zoomed in a lot and Panned back to the rear. You may need to mount it higher up, and in a custom mounting, but I now believe that a different camera would not change the initial view.
Today I measured the Front and Side cameras Field of View. (I ran out of time to swap in the Rear and measure it too)
I found that the X axis (Up-Down or in-out from the side of the car) has around 130° field of view, and the Y Axis (Side-to-side or parallel along the side of the car) has around a 185° FOV. This is around 15° less than some published Sony307 camera modules, but there is certainly some rough judgement call regarding where the useful Viewing Field ends as you reach the distorted edge of the fisheye lens.
After my testing today, I believe that if you can create custom mountings, there is no reason one camera in the DUDU 360 kit would be any better for a given location than any of the other 360 cameras... If anyone has any information to the contrary, please let us know!
