DieselManiac I did have this problem before on another Android headunit and did solder the RCA outputs directly to the DSP chip then the signal was 100%. This RCA signal is not usable for me so I will open the unit and look if a can do this again will post a picture of the solution.
mattanto DieselManiac Sound output via RCA is pretty poor quality. Not something that you expect from a product like Dudu7, it is more like a cheap $100 android head unit. Luckily my amp could take speaker level inputs and that sound pretty good.
mattanto Robin How did you sort out the quieter audio via optical? Can anything be done from the Dudu7 Headunit? Or by tweaking the gains on DSP/external amp?
Robin mattanto There is not many options. I increased the volume in Sound - Settings - Sound Balance Settings - Music (to +10)
dudu0101 SQ build!? ... best option is digital to your DSP amplifier. Just use the optical connection to your DSP amplifier.
Mativo Using rca FL,FR,RL,RR and sub into helix dsp amp then output to speaker and subwoofer. Will I get a good SQ result?
abidali Mativo it should be fine. Preamp voltages are 4v on all channels. For thos with DSP amp or DSP with optical input should use optical out for best digital connection or USB audio out.
Chrisjohn abidali Don't you lose control of the volume using usb-c output? Sure I read that somewhere.
abidali Chrisjohn when using USB audio out, volume control is done through DSP using volume knob or something similar. This is because all the audio processing is done on external device like DSP or DAC.
Chrisjohn abidali Thanks for the reply. Is it the same using optical output ? Volume still got to be controlled externally ?
WoOOOhOOO Kasper618 Amir measured it at 4.6V for 85dB on audiosciencereview here. That's quite the discrepancy, wonder what's going on, how did you measure it?
