  • Modify config.txt of DUDUOS for 7862 - Bluetooth type mod reference

The config.txt file for DUDUOS on the 7862 device is generated automatically. To modify this file, follow these steps:

  1. Use a third-party file manager to extract the /fem/app/config.txt file.
  2. Make the necessary changes to the extracted config.txt file.
  3. Flash the modified config.txt file using the traditional flashing method.

The following is an automatic flash script to modify the Bluetooth module type. Modify it as needed.

    Is dudu7 product also available?

      madusaya DUDU7 Not required, auto-adaptation

madusaya нет, это относится к 7862. На dudu7 нечего делать не надо.

As a further advice for third-party file managers which you need to see files on root-level:
I used RS File Manager fromn the app store. It works fine.
As for point 3 above, simply put the adjusted config.txt & Isec6315update (for uis7862(s) units) on a USB stick and flash it.
It will directly change your bluetooth type.

I see a readme txt in the bluetooth type change script 7z above it said

DUDUOS for 7862 only automatically adapts to Bluetooth types 1 and 7
If your device uses different types of Bluetooth modules
Please modify the Bluetooth type code in the script according to the device's own hardware

But how do I know what bluetooth type my 7862 has? 1 or 7 or any in between?

anh Look in the config file of your original firmware.

This flash method wont reset the system right since there is no updatecfg.txt file with twipe_all?

anh Why do you even want to know it in the first place?
If your unit is a uis7862 / Dudu6 then you can simply flash as described above. If bluetooth is not set to type = 7, you may see that in "about system" your bluetooth type is shown as "unknown". If set to 7 it will be the internal, e.g. Qualcomm chip resulting in a much better phone call quality.

          Hello,

Tried this method to update my bloeetooth type, despite having it set to 1 in config.txt, it sticks with set to 0. In flashing script I have seen some comandline with sed that sets bluetooth type=0. Tried to reflash rom, rebuid congi parameters, nothing works. It can sync with my iphone, but I'm not able to connect to obd adapter (which can be seen in bluetooth settings).

Thank you for any advice/solution you may have for me!

YAOXILONG Please post a video tutorial

YAOXILONG The device is connected to OBD via bluetooth, but nothing is visible from Dudu

JhonnyD Let me see how to enter

jkl I agree. A nice video tutorial would help a lot.

So I have a Mekede M6 Pro Plus 360 head unit. I'm testing the latest beta 241118 version today and I get no bluetooth connections to my DUDU SWC bluetooth device. Nor to any OBD2 dongle.

But I can pair my iphone currently.

It seems I need to figure out how to apply this script to change my bluetooth type to 0. Hopefully 0 is the correct version for my HU?

Trying to understand how to make the change but it's not clear. How do I flash the script?

Just use the config from the M6 firmware and DUDU OS will adapt it

Oh. Just reading your recommendation now. Thanks for that idea.

I was able to figure it out with Vitaly's help from the telegram English group.

I just had to copy that script to a blank USB stick and edit the bluetooth type to 7.

Then while the head unit was running I just plugged the USB stick into one of the USB ports and it auto runs the script. Just like "using the traditional flashing method." as he said in the first post. Now it makes sense.

You're not reinstalling the OS from scratch like I thought he meant. Just plugging it in like the original method.

Once it rebooted my bluetooth stuff all worked. I have my DUDU SWC working now. Thank you!

Easiest way is, when installing DUDU OS, to put the config file from the original firmware into the DUDU files.
Or after installation if missed, put the lsec file and the original config file to an usb drive and just install the config file.
DUDU then adapts it after boot.

Dudu7 Google's TTS voices are a bit too quiet. Is it possible to increase TTS voices using config.txt? I use Sygic navigation and have minor problems.

wybitny2 I can't do that yet, but the channel independent adjustment feature might solve your problem later on.

DUDU-Meng Google TTS app in newer updates does not work the increase TTS voices switch. Now I cannot download TTS voices app updates to make it work. If it was possible to increase TTS voices via config.sys then the problem would not occur. I start the car after a night and I can hear the tts voices from google quietly. I have to go into the tts voices settings, turn off the increase tts voices switch and turn it on then everything starts working.
