DUDU OS for AC8257

Hello,

I am currently testing the Dudu launcher with pip on my AC8257 device, which has 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. However, I’ve noticed that it doesn’t communicate directly with the CAN bus and doesn’t retrieve vehicle information. Additionally, the operating system on my device is outdated and lacks advanced features like those provided by Dudu OS.

As an advanced user experienced in Android programming and ROMs, I’m very interested in testing Dudu OS 3.5. I’d like to request a beta activation for my device, as mentioned in this post: https://forum.dudu-auto.com/d/110-faqcasto-zadavaemye-voprosy/6.

I tried reaching out to @YAOXILONG via private message, but I don’t have that option available.

koruitch Your AC8257 is not suitable for the beta program since it's for FYT 7862/8581 devices. You must have noticed that if you checked the FAQ.

Thank you for your response. I have seen your point, but I have also noticed that it can be installed on other devices, even though activation might still be required. I thought it could be interesting to run some tests to evaluate its performance and compatibility on these devices, which are among the most common on the market. Additionally, it could be an opportunity to offer accessories like cameras or other compatible equipment; in my case, I’m considering the TPMS. This could also help grow the community. koruitch I don't know what you've seen or heard, but like I said before, the beta is only limeted to FYT devices, not the ones like you're using. And AC8257 won't be supported in the future, too.
If you meant the 7870 device, then it's only limited to DUDU7 units. You have to purchase DUDU7 in order to use DUDU OS on 7870 units.

Thank you, it’s a shame because most of the devices sold for these units use that processor 😭, with outdated and old firmware. I understand what you’re saying; I was just asking if it would be possible to install it to see how it works and perform some compatibility tests. Thanks anyway, best regards.

The result is already known: It's not compatible. They just protect you from bricking your unit...
