First, you have already confirmed, but ensure that your DUDUOS firmware and apps are fully up to date.
Personally, I haven’t encountered this issue with Waze- it works fine for me. However, one key difference is that I don’t use a SIM card. Could the SIM be causing the issue by making the unit register as a phone to Waze?
Have you tried removing the SIM and using an iPhone hotspot instead? If not, give it a try and see if the error persists.
If the error disappears, reinsert the SIM and check if the initial opening with a WiFi connection prevents the issue from returning.
If the problem continues, it may require attention from the developers unless there are additional settings that can be adjusted.
