Mekede dudu update error

I tried to update via the OTA app and it ran into an error and didn't update now everytime it starts up it tries to automatically update unless I cancel and if it does go to the update screen it comes up with same error. Where can I delete this update file so it doesn't try to always automatically update itself?

picasso1850 i don't know how to do that, I just want to delete the update file so it doesn't automatically try updating itself. The original OS is working fine

I did not try myself, but it seems there is a folder /sideload on your internal memeory.
Maybe you can access it with a file manager, but I am afraid you do not have access as end-user as the OTA update is dones as system user

I tried this and it failed, i still get an error when it tries to ofline update, it says the current software is newer then the downloaded software.

I normally downloade the offline update through the dudu7 device, should I download the updated onto a USB first? Or is there a particular way of doing this?

But the ota update always fails and everytime it starts up it says, update software found and tries to automatically update itself.

The log says that some files are missing.

When you try this offline OTA update, do you have WiFi enabled?
The offline OTA update does this online verification check to check if the checksum of the offline file is correct versus the online checksum file.
If you don't have an internet connection, you get that verification error.
This package.zip is a file containing update software for OTA updates and is moved from system (or ODM, can't remember) to a writable and executable place on the unit.
I assume (and this is a guess), is that it is still in an incomplete update thereby starting again and again.
If this persists, you might need to do a full firmware flash.

The offline update is through my phone hot-spot, but it's saying the downloaded version is older then the current version, it doesnt actually try to update this way. will connecting to my WiFi sort this issue out?

Can you tell me how to flash it.

Your phone hotspot is OK. That is also how I do FOTA updates. I download full Global OTA updates via my laptop, simply to not overload my dataplan on my phone.
Are you registered as beta tester for the pre-releases? If you are not registered, you can't install alpha/beta versions, only releases.
If not registered, please send @YAOXILONG via telegram a request.
That was also happening to me the first time. I was not fully registered.

54918ss Download the latest firmware for your device from this forum. Preferably on a PC. Extract the zip file onto the desktop/hard drive. Copy the files from the resulted folder (not the hole folder, but the files within the folder) to the root of an USB stick that was previously formatted as FAT 32. Insert that USB stick to an USB port connected to your unit. You should get a message that an update is available. Press OK and the update process should start.
