  • Local Music: Play folder content in random order

I have my CD's (and my wife's) ripped and organized in folders on internal memory (see image below):

Request 1: I would prefer to "tap and hold" a folder and get the following options:

  1. Play (Play the contents of the folder based on the sorting of the files; see below in request 2)
  2. Play in random order (simply play the contents in random order)
  3. Resume playing (and remember whether the user asked for random play or "standard" play)

Request 4: And finally, as also requested by others: Make the local music/radio PIP/splitscreen enabled.

I know that "Request 1 - option 3 (Resume Playing)" would require the player to remember which song is/was playing for every folder and store that info in the sqlite/settings database (or whatever you want to use).
This option is for me low priority. It would just be nice to have it.

    With regard to 1: That is exactly my feature request. Not to set it to random while playing, but to make it possible to start it in random order, or normal, from the folder level.
    It answers my question from the telegram though. I wanted to know how to start in random mode, but your answer makes clear that is not possible. I have to start in normal mode and then I can randomize.
    I have a number of "mixed" folders. I do not always want to start with the same number and then randomize (and please do not tell me I then have to start with the 2nd, 3rd or nth number 🙂 )

    I wanted to go to "as standard as possible", but it means I will still stay with Aimp for the time being.

      Great if it can support .m3u playlists, under a new section Playlists. Even better if can show a college of up to four cover images as playlist cover.
