I retrofitted ambient lighting in my car, similar to this one:

With my smartphone I can adjust and control the lighting using the magiclantern app.
I would like to try doing this over the radio.
However, so far I have not managed to achieve this. Therefore the following question: Is it possible to control the lights with a Bluetooth connection or not?
The controller for the ambient lighting is displayed to me in the Bluetooth connections; the radio is at least able to see it.
But not in the magiclantern app. Even searching multiple times doesn't find the controller for the ambient lighting.
Is there a way to connect to the controller with DUDU OS in order to control it via the radio or is it only possible via the smartphone?
I am of the opinion that the Bluetooth chip is a BLE (bluetooth low energy) that is located in the controller.
Control ambient lighting with the radio?
Duduuser83 Hi
I've bought some cheap foot well lights from AliExpress that connects via an app called Lotus Lantern. I could not make the app find the lights on the stock Mekede's firmware (M6 Plus 3D), but am now able to control them on the head unit with DUDU's firmware. Maybe you can try this app....
Apparently some people were able to activate and use both Bluetooth chipsets on these units. It was never the case with me, at least not at it's full potential. Different story now with DUDU's firmware. Everything's working as it should, at least for my needs.
suicidalguitar I can exactly second you. Same experience here, too. Love Dudu for that ;-)
Can you please give me an exact procedure as to what I need to do so that I can establish a connection to my ambient lighting?
Duduuser83 Did you try the app that I told you about? Considering both Bluetooth chipsets are activated, the app will detect your lights (if compatible) without need to pair them. Just select them from the drop down menu (My devices) and you should be able to control the lights
Could it be that it is not possible because my lighting is a BLE system? When I start the Lotuslantern app, the message appears that BLE is not supported. In the mood light settings of the dudu firmware I can select different protocols, but no controller appears. It says evertime not connected und no controller is shown.
Not sure about that right now. I would say that my lights are also BLE but I can't check it right now.
You should look in the Bluetooth menu in Android Settings (not on DUDU settings) where you'll find the settings for the other Bluetooth chipset. I'm pretty sure that one will find your lights
I finally got it to work! In my settings.txt, the sys.fyt.bluetooth_type= was set to 0 as default. After reading some posts on xda forums, they suggested changing the value to 1. When I did this, information about the Bluetooth connection was no longer displayed in the system settings. After that, the Bluetooth connection didn't work at all. Then I read that some new devices from teyes or mekede use type 7 as a connection type. I set the sys.fyt.bluetooth_type= to 7 (sys.fyt.bluetooth_type=7) and now I have managed to connect the ARGB lighting to the radio! Now it finally works! The bluetooth information is displayed in the system settings, too.

Great that you got it working. I wrote that also elsewhere here in the forum and on XDA. You should always enable the Qualcomm Bluetooth chip type 7 on Dudu6 (uis7862s).
For me also mic quality improved a lot.
Duduuser83 dudu6Needs to be configured as 1 dudu7 needs to be configured as 7
dudu-langzi how can I configure dudu7 as 7
mediastarr86 Just keep the default settings and don't change them manually. DUDU7 defaults to 7.
DUDU-Meng I got an ambient light, I bound the Bluetooth but it still can’t connect, only connect through the app I downloaded from google play store
mediastarr86
What do you need to connect?
Please take a photo of the system information interface and upload it here for review.
