YAOXILONG I feel obliged to answer your response because it looks it's a bit misleading.
- Music Widget - only one of several bugs have been fixed. Widget remembers now what player was playing and pressing PLAY resumes it. Other bugs are not fixed, despite users even giving you paths to fix it. Still you must switch in deep buried settings menu to switch it to radio / BT player from other players (that's because FYT apps don't use android signalling and media advertisements. I get you don't have access to change it but "bridge" background app translating it is doable and would solve the issue as all would be under one "universal player"). Other bugs: chinese random covers and lyrics when playing media with no cover embedded, lyrics that cannot be switched off (unless you want annoying circle cover spinning). Font for title and buttons are so small it's unusable.
- Contact sync - indeed fixed, I have not got any problem recently.
- Night brightness - not fixed. I never reported any glare. Simply the screen is too bright in the night. Minimum brightness was locked to 10, now 5 but still doesn't resolve it. Extreme dark mode it's just grey overlay so it doesn't do much to brightness but creates a foggy, contract lacking screen in the night. Problem is Dudu advisers here deliberately trying to say it's perfect. I know. It won't be solved as the hardware has a flow, FYT bumping screen brightness during the day made night brightness too high (backlight driver has only one pin for current delivered and it's too high). So solution is only to do a hardware mod (which I have done with a micro relay switching resistors during night). However, this should be announced to users it's not fixable, instead of trolling and promising resolution. Also night theme switching changes now don't allow dark navi bar (which is a bummer for me).
- Audio Improvements - not sure what you meant by sample rate conversion and where it exactly happens, is it before android mixer resampling all to 48kHz, or is it spdif sample rate 96kHz and 192kHz. If that's the latter, there was nothing to improve. Multiplying sample rate by two or three is purely mathematical transparent process with any, even worst resampler. Not to mention we had discussion as why to deceive customers with 96 or 192 kHz spdif, it's all up converted from 48kHz, fake sample rate.
As to other issues with audio, 3.7 has significantly worse audio on spdif than 3.6 including floating low frequency band which sometimes goes into AM radio quality mode for a second and gradually restores bass. Also, default settings in audio levels in menu straight after upgrade cause clipping at even half volume scale.
Logarithmic volume adjustment is very welcomed, now it's like other audio devices, sad for me it took a year to implement and countless messages from DUDU-Meng saying "people wanted linear".
Next issue is speed related volume adjustment. It starts from 60kmph. In all cars it starts straight after passing 10 kmph as that's where engine is starting to be heard. I highlighted it but again, Dudu Meng insisted it's a nonsense because below 60 it's quiet in his car. Well, it isn't in mine and probably majority of Dudu users, we buy the aftermarket unit with such integration to the car because our cars are OLDER and more noisy. But, even so, I drive also quite silent Kia Hybrid, year old, and adaptative volume adjustment kicks in when passing 10kmph.
So, I'd say it's time to drop this attitude of "we at Dudu know better" and start to listen to the users.
These are my points to the improvements you mentioned. The problem is that device is on the market for almost two years and we have still beta testing. Usb Audio is crackling. New zoom feature causes menu items not to fit in graphic containers and be invisible. Still no support for cars with steering wheel on the right (like mine).
Now, 4 issues you mentioned. I can give you dozens not solved since last summer. No bug tracker accessible for users. Hundreds of patch files provided in the forum scattered, so it's impossible to find them. OSD function abandoned (would be nice). Themes abandoned. WIFI reconnection is so laggy in 3.7 that after walking away from the car, if Dudu did not go into sleep coming back - wifi reconnected after 15 mins. Triggers unusable, not the ones we need.
Don't get me wrong - I am not pointing out issues outside Dudu reach (like canbus issues or MCU issues - AF in radio not working, dynamic resampling etc) - I know FYT won't fix them. But the rest? Little has been done with bugs or promised functionality since last summer. Instead, Dudu focusing on new product, or selling launcher to non Dudu devices instead of focusing primarily on users who paid a lot of money for hardware and are main source of income for Dudu. You seem to forget that dudu7 price is equivalent to a few months salary in some countries. Yet, you don't seem to care sometimes.
Also regarding forum, I find your help and dudu-lai very good, in contrary DUDU-Meng seems to be trolling, with unhelpful messages sometimes for the sake of just answering with no clue or sense.
And lastly, I stopped providing bug reports because for most of them there is no outcome. So waste of my time.
I might be up for beta tester but only if someone actually listens to scrutiny and error reports.
