That's what I thought but I have just connected my external dsp via usb-a out puts on the headunit and the steering wheel and headunit volume controls both work ???

Chrisjohn possibly this model does standard android usb audio over usb-A (like any android host device from android built in mixer and bit perfect usb audio over usbc)
Can't confirm as have Dudu7.

When I was playing from USB-C, volume controls on the handwheel did not work. I had to use my DSP controller. Never tried with USB-A.
I would like to know what's the best way to connect from DUDU7 to my DSP ? I mean Which out ?

True. My DSP has OTG input (USB3.0 A).
My question is which USB do I choose from DUDU7, will that be USB-A 3.0 or the USB-C from the back of head unit ? That gets into my DSP Otg input.
Which has better output?

It doesn't matter which USB you use. Why should it make a difference? USB 2.0 is sufficient for stereo audio even in high bit rates.

Have a question, I have a DUDU7 and I'm using USB-C Output to my DDC and then connect to my DSP with SPDIF, also I'm using Low output to My DSP because when I use the SPDIF I can't get sound of notifications, calls and things like that. So I have a problem when I'm using the SPDIF and then switch to HI-LOW with my DSP I lost the sound and I need to reboot my screen.
Anyone have this issue? @YAOXILONG

I have the same problem. If I start the hu using usb output to my dac and then switch to a alternative output like optical, optical will work fine. If I then switch back to usb output( dac) I hear nothing unless like you say you reboot and then it works again.

I found a way to connect the USB Type-C output to my DDC (Digital-to-Digital Converter
SMSL PO100 PRO) and then to my DSP (Musway M4+ V3) via an optical SPDIF output.
This way, I no longer need to connect the DSP with RCA (low signal) to get audio in the other apps on my DUDU7, and I can still have bit-perfect audio.

Steps:

Download UAPP (to achieve bit-perfect audio)
Settings in UAPP
2.1 System
Check the "Release USB audio driver on Home" box...
Check the "Release USB audio driver on audio focus..." box
Check the "Release USB audio driver on transient..." box
2.2 Internal HiRes audio (bit-perfect)
2.3 USB audio (bit-perfect)
Configure DUDU7 by enabling the YouTube, Maps, Qobuz, etc. apps. to enable the Android mixer when needed (when UAPP loses focus)
Remove UAPP from PIP (if you have it)
Restart DUDU7

I haven't been able to get this to work with UAPP in PIP. If it's in PIP, it never lets go of the USB, and you won't be able to hear other sounds from other apps.

agaxiola89 to add, your Dudu volume slider should be at max, so only dsp controls volume. Otherwise after turning up dsp volume for incoming call and returning to uapp you might get a full blast... 😂

Mikescotland I can't control the volume from my DUDU because I'm using a DSP volume control (DRC) instead DUDU volume, It works for me I can control volumen with my DRC of youtube, Maps and other apps. Always respect the volume of my DRC.

As already proposed in another topic: I understand that it's not so easy to prevent resampling music data to 48 kHz AND keep the useability because other signals like navigation, phone calls and system sounds are at 48 kHz and different sample rates cannot be mixed and output together.
The main point in my opinion is not that much the resampling itself (will be done to 96 kHz in an external DSP anyway) but the crappy quality of the android resampler. So - wouldn't it be possible to set a high quality resampler (SoX for example) in front of the android audio stack which resamples all music to 48kHz and like this makes music data pass the android audio stack unchanged?
Should be easy to check if this makes a difference by taking a native 44.1kHz file and play it in Poweramp a) at the native 44.1 and b) SoX resampled to 48kHz.
Sorry not to check myself - will receive my Dudu7 in 3 days. :-)

jannek it does. Poweramp with SoX resampler is quite fine from 44.1 to 48, Android built in resampler is not fine, introduces harshness to higher frequencies. Problem is that... Well problem is that Dudu doesn't explore any other solutions and doesn't care.
