huh? please google Douk U2 .. USB-C input and Optical output. That is all.

there is x3 USB output cables on DUDU7 with female USB-C .. plug male USB-A from TPMS dongle into one of the x3 USB connections.

I looked up the online manual to see which USB output has power for the Douk. USB-C and the USB 6pin both have power. The USB 4pin would be just data, for the SD card. At least that was assumption.

It sounds like I'll have to do the same setup as you're doing. 0.5sec is nice and fast... now to go and check what generation your Helix is lol

What I am exploring now is if I can install the Conductor in place of the knob in the dash kit they are sending. Idk how the dash kit knob will function quite yet, or what the size is. The conductor is pretty big with a 40mm cutout. The CS agent is going to measure it for me when it comes in.

The power for the DOUK U2 is from the USB digital output from the dudu7 .. so just one cable input provides digital audio and power to douk u2. I only use DOUK U2 because i only have optical input on my Helix DSP amp, and both optical output options on dudu7 are bad.

I was asking which USB you used because 4pin doesn't carry power, usually. So I had assumed 6pin or USB-C

You're wrong. It doesn't matter which USB-Port you are using.

And "With OPTICAL passthough = no phone calls but great sound quality and must use Conductor for volume." is also wrong. As I tested with Firmware 3.5 volume control is always active at the optical output, no matter if "Passthrough" is activated or not.

The problem with changing the volume in the digital doamin is that you loose dynamic range.

Hi All, I am having issues with USB audio output from DUDU7.
Whereas, RCA, High-level, Optical spdif and coaxial is working perfectly fine but USB audio is not working.
I did all possible resets and updates. Then also it's not working.

It was working yesterday and after I turned off the car and turned on, it stopped working.

Test it... Test the headunit with another USB audio interface, test the amp with another Source, a laptop or Android (doen't know how Apple works with USB) smartphone should work well for this. If it worked yesterday one of the devices could be simply defective ;-)

And if you have the amp in the back of the car you have a long USB cable? For 5m you should use a high quality cable or better a high quality active extension. And your amp seems to have USB 3.0. It's also more complicated as USB 2.0 at longer distances.

Test 1 -- to check if my processor is working. Yes, it is working fine. I connected laptop USB C output to processor's USB . All working

Test 2 -- head unit with another USB audio interface not working.

There is no problem with the processor.

Yes my amp/processor is at the back of my car. I am using 5m good quality cable.

Like I said earlier, it was working and everything was fine. After I switched off and switched on my car, USB audio is not working.

Spdif passthrough has phone calls. Volume works. Internal dsp is off. Signal per REW is clean, 120 S/N.

maybe I should have spent a week testing, but with optical without passthrough and all the DUDU7 DSP settings flat, it didn't sound very good .. bad audio quality through the Helix DSP - although I didn't do a tune .. then switched to optical passthrough and it sounded great again but max volume was a bit low .. then switched to usb digital and it was great.

dudu0101 Are you certain you weren’t experience a change in volume level?
The difference in 44.1/44/96khz should be almost unnoticeable, not jump out at you.

My processor has USB-OTG as one of the input and I want to use that since it had a good DAC built-in.

of course, i could not tell the difference between 44 and 96khz.

I didn't spend hours on tuning using OPTICAL without passthrough .. maybe I should have in hindsight .. but I just dont want to use the DUDU7 DSP .. I just want passthrough digital into my Helix DSP.

dudu0101 That's fair enough, you've spent enough on the nice hardware. Though for what it's worth, try think of the onboard DSP as a good thing. There's not much harm from processing the same digital signal twice. The GUI based time alignment and quick EQ sliders are good for some rapid tuning and for passenger targeting without having to have a separate DSP preset or whipping out the laptop.

With that said, I don't have the option available on my 7862 for spdif passthrough, and I would like the option to choose.
