I do not deny the issue. The worst thing a "helpdesk" can say is: "It works for me".
I am saying that I can't reproduce it. That is why I am asking about the type of head unit and configuration.
@Gsibaja : Are you also on a Dudu 7.
The thing is that I use Soundpool for the beep. Soundpool is designed by Google to not interfere with any other sound channels.*
I drove today 5 hours in total with Music folder player, VLC, AIMP and Transistor. Not one single stop. I must admit that I didn't test with Dudu radio or Dudu music. Will try that tomorrow.
I also tested shortly on my Samsung S11 Ultra on Android 16 while driveing with AIMP and Transistor and also there no music stop or interruption.

Two questions:

Do you use bluetooth to stream music from your phone to the head unit? Or do you play the music directly on your unit?
And (apart from radio), do you play everything from USB or from the internal head unit memory?

* Soundpool is designed by Google to give "alarm sounds" or "game sounds" that should always be heard without disturbing other mediai channels. It is only limited by its internal "maxStreams" parameter as espcially in games you might have multiple shorts sounds together.

Let me do some more tests, using the Radio and YouTube app, from the unit

I don't use Bluetooth for multimedia.
I play music from USB and the head unit's internal memory.
I use the Dudud 7 radio and NavRadio+.

Have a DuDu7 with latest OS and use musik and radio from the device.

What are you going to repair and where?
Will you deliver a pull request to my repository, or is it really a bug in Dudu?
It is strange that it works correctly for one user and not for another.
What I can say is that some users are beta-testers and all of them do not have an issue.
The users that are not beta testers, and maybe some version(s) behind that latest beta, are maybe suffering from a a bug in Dudu that has been solved in the latest betas.

I personally have no clue what it is. According to Google it should not be possible that this happens, as it is supposed to be completely separated from any other audio channel..
What do you think it is?

Geoff_T My test zone is in a 30mph limit. If I leave the "mph instead of km/h for GPS speed" option switched off I get "Limit 30 km/h" but if I check the box to get mph I get "Limit 18 mph".

So it still seems to still be unnecessarily converting the base speed limit from the map data if you choose mph. I thought this has been fixed in the newer versions, so wondered if there is something wrong in my units settings somewhere?

This is really strange. There is no conversion unless the app thinks you are not in an mph country. I would like to see the logs of that drive as well.

EDIT. Looking at the logs it seems it can't get a valid speed limit.

I have done a test speed-limit lookup for 50.72, -3.46 which is the M5 near me and get this in the logs.

No, this is not the M5. This is too far next to the M5. I did a check in OpenStreetMap and in Google Maps and it is not close enough to the M5.

Your 2 digits behind the decimal are by far not accurate enough.
The position on the M5 is 50.720013, -3.462152.

Yes, you are right my co-ordinates where not accurate enough. If I put in the more accurate ones you supplied I do get a response in the logs with 70 as the limit.

However I was driving today on some local roads and it didn't pick up the correct limit throughout the drive.

I have just tested with the co-ordinates for the B3180 near me using 50.727169 -3.335447 and the limit (which is 60) is not found. These are the logs:

I would be interested to know if other UK users are having issues with it and maybe the data for the UK isn't good enough?

Off course that is possible and it is on my ToDo list. Not your second question (only speed limit), but the speed limit sign with actual speed next to it. That is how all navigation apps do it.
But I have a private life as well and the weather is finally getting nice here in the Netherlands, so I can't give a planned date when I think it will be ready.

Edit: Actually my plan was to make it a selectable option: Show textual overlay (like it is now), or show a speed sign overlay.

Well, it was actually very simple, now that I made the other overlay with image/text (my MediaOverlay).

Give me some days to test as I do not exactly know when I can use my car again and I do not want to publish this without some testing.

surfer63 for me personally sign with speed limit alone is more then enough because i have gps speed from other source (agama car launcher)
i guess its not hard to make it switchable option

I tested with the B3180 in Overpass. It has 30 mph inside town (West Hill, Higher Metcombe) but misses a speed tag for the "rural" part of the road. There is nothing.
So yes, the data is not good enough (not extensive enough).

Go to https://overpass-turbo.eu/
Use this query:

Use an area not too big and not too small, and you will get "dots" which you can click to see the speed limit tags.

However, I saw some weird tagging on several roads in that area, and some roads that have been tagged by users wanting to update their neighborhood, but they did it not very "professional".
