My name is Alexey. I installed DUDUOS 3.7 260210 on my device.
Medeke M500s 4/64 10-inch 1280*720 (You could call it Dudu 5). During testing, I found some bugs and issues that I'd like to share with you. I also have a couple of ideas and suggestions for improving DuduOS.
I'm from Russia and translated the text using Google Translate, so please excuse any mistakes.
1. Selecting the default navigator.
It's not intuitive! It's done through the widget on the home screen, and if you hide the widget, it's not easy to find the setting (Box set - Navi set). Even if you do find it, the default app won't change until you do so in the widget on the home screen. This is a bug.
Suggestion: Please add an option to select the default navigation app in the launcher settings menu. This will make it a basic and easy setup.
2. Bluetooth bug!
When listening to music via Bluetooth, a track sometimes makes a clicking sound for about half a second, but sometimes it works reliably and there's no interference. The Bluetooth signal is good, and I connected the included antenna.
I hadn't noticed this before on the previous firmware. I also found someone on the forum who experienced the same issue after the update. Please check this.
I only updated the firmware, without touching the MCU, so that might be the issue.
3. In the notification center and on the home page, the day of the week is written in lowercase. This bug doesn't exist in English.
4. The age restriction icon is displayed incorrectly.
An exclamation point in a circle seems to indicate offensive language. I use the Yandex Music app, where it's used.
5. There are some words without translation.
6. If you quickly scroll through tracks in the library (for example, from a USB flash drive), the track cover art appears with a delay of about half a second.
7. NavBar bug: the navigation bar doesn't return when you swipe up after hiding it! Only a device reboot helps.
8. Suggestion: Add adaptive fan control.
If the processor temperature is above 50 degrees Celsius (122 degrees Fahrenheit), the fan turns on automatically; if below, the fan turns off.
9. Some icons are pixelated, such as the Google Chrome icon.
10. You have to manually scan the USB flash drive for the music to start playing.
(This might be a bug; on my previous stereo, this was all done automatically.)
11. The control panel (notification center) doesn't open when you swipe up from the top.
For me, this is convenient and familiar, since it's already opened that way on Android and iOS, and people are used to it.
12. Suggestion
Please make it so that when the screen is locked, it doesn't light up when I change the volume. This setting can be added to the screen settings.
How it works: when I lock the screen like on a phone and change the volume using the steering wheel buttons, the screen stays off. When I need to use the radio, I press anywhere on the touchscreen and the screen lights up. A very simple and convenient feature that could be added to other Dudu devices.
