Mikescotland JourneyMan go to Android setting - Device info - System information - take this screenshot
Mikescotland JourneyMan it has the chip soldered in. So, if the screen is blank, either Dudu is faulty, connector is faulty or cameras are faulty. As Dudu-lai says, connect two cameras, checking if the connector is fully pushed at the back of the unit.
JourneyMan Mikescotland If it was the case that it wasn't included in my radio why would the option appear during the startup? And how do I remedy this because even the box said it's supposed to have it.
dudu-lai JourneyMan The device has a 360 IC. What you need to do now is connect any two cameras for testing. At least two cameras must be connected for 360 to work and display images.
JourneyMan Mikescotland @dudu-lai Alright gentlemen I did as instructed Only 2 cameras are connected and I went with the outer 2 cameras left and right. Still no image at all as seen in the photos. These cameras are connected directly to the head unit.
dudu-lai JourneyMan Have you tried front + rear camera, front + left camera, front + right camera, left + right camera, rear + left camera, and rear + right camera? Because I don't know which camera is malfunctioning.
JourneyMan dudu-lai all of them are malfunctioning. None of them will post a display no matter the combination of cameras connected together.
dudu-lai JourneyMan Besides this DUDU, do you have any other devices? The chances of all four cameras breaking down at the same time are very small.
JourneyMan dudu-lai I've read on other threads in this forum that sometimes the camera connectors are faulty and sometimes the radio is. Having not owned either for a year yet I presume I'm still under warranty at this point I think it's safe to say Something is DOA and it would be best to start swapping things does anyone know how to go about that? I only ask because a decent amount was spent on the radio and cameras for it not to function.
picasso1850 JourneyMan I don't have the technical knowledge for understanding how a canbus/car trigger/wiring configuration works but maybe that's a possibility? You mentioned having a canbus decoder but also posed a question about trigger wires that wasn't answered directly from what I read. Maybe something related to your wiring and canbus setup? A basic thought analysis inquiry is all i got. 🙂
JourneyMan picasso1850 you sound like your in the same boat as me lol. I wouldn't think that the decoder would be causing the display issue since they are not routed through the canbus.
picasso1850 JourneyMan fortunately my install was all plug n play and canbus auto recognition, no wire splicing or drilling holes. But i only installed a rear cam, didn't get the 360
