No reverse camera feed when I put car in reverse gear on Toyota C-HR 2018

I installed the Dudu7 on my 2018 Toyota C-HR.. however, when I put the gear in reverse, it doesn’t respond. I’m using the car’s original camera.

How is the wiring harness connected?

When put in reverse, it doesn’t appear like the headunit gets triggered…for the connection, the only thing not connected is the camera power cable, which I’m not sure if it’s connected already as I wasn’t provided with a receiver.

Oyetunde As far as I understand from other posts, DUDU doesn't work well with the original cameras.
I have the same problem with my Volvo V60, it doesn't respond to reverse gear and doesn't turn on the camera (I also have a front camera, and it doesn't work with DUDU), for now my decision is to get the 360 cameras to have some kind of view

Oyetunde The CANBUS box receives gear information via the CAN-L/CAN-H cables. When in R gear, it outputs 12V to the G5, triggering screen reverse.

Possible Causes:
1: Bent or disconnected CAN-L/CAN-H cable pins are causing the CANBUS box to malfunction.

2: The vehicle is missing the CAN-L/CAN-H cables, preventing the CANBUS box from receiving gear information.

3: Try connecting the original reverse control cable (C2) to the G5 device and disconnecting the G5 from the CANBUS box.

The harness that was sent to me, I think it was the canbus that suppose to detect the reverse signal as the G5 is connected to the canbus as well, based on what was provided

If i counter right.. the CAN-L/CAN-H cables are present and not wonky

Where I’m I counting from, from the left or right, because if I count from the left, there’s no C9/C10 but if I count from the right the C9/C10 is present

In this case, you are looking at them from right to left

benzol from your inclination, it means the C9/C10 are present, but it’s not still feeding the canbus, should I connect the C2 directly to the G5?

What I want to say is that the OEM plug may not have CAN bus

Quick question, which of these feeds detects that the car is on reverse, C9 or C10? only because, both are connected to another harness then joined at the end to the CANBUS

I just want to know which specifically sends the reverse signal

Yes, the doors are detected by the canbus when opened the screen and the c9/10 are confirmed as well

Oyetunde C9 and C10 are canH and canL. None of them carry simple reverse signal. These are data lines carrying all available information happening in the car in a quite complicated protocol, and that's why you have canbus decoder to pick the relevant info from the huge stream of information.
