dahack crackling on usbc is quite a known phenomena, I've seen a few posts in telegram, especially when 360 view is in the foreground. Haven't seen any response from Dudu, neither any solution for it, except reminding users that usb audio direct is an experimental feature and some troll answers praising Dudu as "audiophile grade" headunit.
Regarding 4G, a single LTE carrier is more than sufficient to provide quite substantial bandwidth for losless audio. There was a heated thread when users complained that Dudu download speeds on some networks are merely 1Mbps, regardless of location, while phone using same band in that location scoring 100Mbps. No resulution either and thread was ghosted by the Cs with answers "may not support this band" (although band was clearly supported by confirming it, so, you know...)

Well, in dudos3.6 it looks like no longer as an experimental feature, but the full feature. In 3.5 it was clearly written "beta" or "experimental" , don't remember tbh. In 3.6 they removed this disclaimer. So it looks like it went from experimental to fully supported feature in a such case. And actually it works, right? And cameras are working just fine, right? But both at the same time, nah...

It is not only usb-c, the same goes on all the USB ports, tested all 4 of them (1x type-c, 3x type-a or how it's called)

Regarding modem, in my case the same, from mobile phone download can be up to 150mb/s on 4g, and more than 500mb/s with 5g and this is because my phone supports DL CA, while dudu7 doesn't.
On dudu7 4g looks absolutely weird, download around 1-1.5mbps while upload 40-60mbps (I'd rather like it vise a versa)

dahack I don't use SIM anymore for exact same reasons, especially that now 3UK completely switched off 3G so no fallback.
PS. I'm jealous of your diagram - I'm too impatient to do such thing and plan so meticulously!

We have received your detailed feedback regarding the popping/crackling noise issues with USB audio output.

The 360-degree panoramic camera, being a high-load application, does place considerable demand on system resources when running in the foreground. In our latest beta version, we have comprehensively optimized the interface and functionality of the 360 application. Please look forward to the official release of DUDUOS 3.7.

Regarding the built-in USB audio functionality, we cannot guarantee full compatibility with all third-party USB decoders, and issues such as no sound or audio anomalies may occur. At present, we recommend using USB audio devices with asynchronous clock solutions (such as products using XMOS technology). In the future, we will introduce specialized USB audio peripherals designed specifically for audiophiles.

YAOXILONG thank you for your response and confirming my assumptions.

But I was thinking about system resources before as well and was checking CPU utilization which apparently looks to be absolutely fine, in average it goes ₂₅% of CPU utilization all the time (in the Calculator app 000.= to show CPU utilization). And as soon it doesn't seem to be CPU should be something else. If it is a matter of GPU, well I'm not sure how to check it and on the other hand GPU should not affect audio which is handled by CPU. So still thinking it is more software issue rather than hardware to be honest.

Regarding XMOS, please confirm if XMOS chipsets don't have such issues? I was thinking of purchasing "Douk Audio U2 PRO Mini XMOS XU208 converter USB DSD256 PCM384K" adapter, which is UAC2.0 and having better specs rather the one I have now, plus as a bonus I can use an additional external power source for it, for instance from a second USB port.

Yes, Dudu3.7 is something I'm waiting for, but unsure if it resolve the issue with usb sound

i have same issue before @dahack . After investigate every way like you did, i gave up to stay on Coaxial. Need to wait dev team to release separated usb audio level so that problem maybe overcome.

or another thought on that subject. Is it possible to change affinity rules for App/CPU-Core ? As a suggestion move 360 cameras to a dedicated CPU core leaving extra room of resources for the rest of Apps and OS itself?
I could try it by myself if the device would be rooted, but it is not

Running 360 at full capacity consumes significant resources and currently utilizes the main processor core to ensure optimal performance. If moved to other cores, 360 will experience severe lag.

Strange priority media vs video. If you take as an example SIP-telephony audio/voice has higher priority rather than video. I'm "kind of" ok if video won't be smooth, and would like to have audio without stuttering.

Please confirm if XMOS DDC isn't affected (thinking of purchase of XU208 or XU316 DDC)

I have reported this issue many times in the Telegram Forum.I do not use 360 camera as I have a 6gb version. Still I can hear random cracks and pop sounds like droplets on windshield when I go for USB Audio even with native Dudu Music App, leave alone UAPP.
By the way USB Audio to DAC to DSP or USB Audio OTG to DSP is the best music Listening mode.
Here are my reports.
I use similar set up for USB Audio.
Dudu7 ctype to SMSL PO 100 PRO , coaxial from SMSL DAC to DSP. play music via UAPP from DUDU7.
please note SMSL PO 100 PRO is XMOS chipset with USB (Asynchronization)

For me it randomly pops, cracks while playing songs..like droplets on windshield ( jittering like click sounds).
I tried many music apps too like native DUDU music app, Apple music, Power amp, UAPP too. Random pops and clicks are heard in the middle of the song.
I hope DUDU team fixes this in near future.

Also SPDIF pass through in untrue as it is not clean or pure optics, still we are able to use the volume button in Head Unit and change the volume, so it does not pass through to DSP as clean optics.

as for me HU's optical with the passthrough mode sounds way much worse in comparison to usb ddc to toslink

Just in case if you'd think about the recent beta update - it didn't help me (system version: 251016, 360panorama: 2025-10-14) the issue is still there
