Path for this is canbus reverse splicing into two, one is going to G5 Dudu and the other end somewhere else. This "somewhere else" is probably connected to a socket or plug to the original equipment you have (or not, depending on the car trim) and might be required for some other things like activate rear parking radar or something else. If you see no difference in how it works before and after cutting the cable, I'd just leave it (I know how frustrating this cable chore becomes after a few hours).
