360 degree camera installation question

Hello everyone,

Despite some problems, I'm happy with my Dudu7 so far. Therefore, I decided to buy and install the 360-degree camera.

But here are some questions that I would like to know before I install it

I currently have a rearview camera installed. I just connected the ignition 12V and GND and connected the RCA cable. And the camera works and switches. How does the 360 degree camera work? I have a VW T5.2 built in 2011 and a Canbus adapter from Raise.

The other question is the following

The camera for the side mirrors. What is the correct position for installation? Should they face forward or backward? Or should they be installed facing away from the car? Does anyone have a picture of how to install them correctly so I can get the right angle?

And then the question of calibration

What's the best way to do this? Do I need a mat, or can I calibrate without one?

There is also link in the thread to teyes website with very good guide.
And no, while it is possible to calibrate without mats, it's practically almost impossible unless you paint or cut your own squares according to measurements.
PS. I'm not surprised people constantly asking about installation and calibration, Dudu wiki is so poor and vague to the point it's a joke.
Regarding cameras themselves, you won't be able to use existing rear view cam. The 360 set takes over everything. Nothing except included cables is required, no other connections and no connections to 12V. If your canbus also passes indicators to Dudu, you don't connect the white wires either.
Mirror cameras facing around 10° backwards to the back of the car. Although it's best to twist them once they are in and connected.

Yes, the wiki is very poor, which is why these questions arose. I was aware that my rearview camera was no longer compatible.

But it is not written anywhere what you have to connect where and how in a car with Canbus.

I know that I can enable the blinking animation in Dudu and it will then blink in Dudu7. But I don't know if it will then forward the information.

Blackbandt you'd be surprised. Mine did (except frustration with calibration before I found a proper guide).
I can see from pics from other threads you're in Germany. Pity, I'd lend you mats for a few weeks if you were in the UK.
