New user | Problems with themes & 1080P ADAS DVR

Hello,

Last week I installed my new dudu 7 9.5" 8gb + 128Gb head unit.
So far so good.

However I don't have the car displayed on the main screen like this example:

My mainscreen is just empty, like this:

I tried to reinstall the theme and even factory reset the unit. Any ideas ?

Second question about dudu 1080p ADAS DVR.

Although I didn't receive a USB device with the software (APK) on it.
So I downloaded the apk from the official dudu telegram group.

I installed the APK, updated when asked at open, and installed the services.
I selected the recorder in de launcher settings.

But when open the DVDR software I get this error.

The DVR is turned on (red light), I tried several USB cables, just to be sure.

The head unit + adas dvr are bought from the official dudu store on aliexpress.

Kevin1982 that's wallpaper.
Settings - launcher settings - plugin settings - select default view and choose navigation (car driving on a road) or 3D car (car showing doors etc)
You can also change it on the fly if you set navigation mini widget, tapping on icons on it will toggle the view.

Hi Mike,

I followed your instructions.
It seems that by default (I guess), PIP is enabled.
I changed it via Setup - Launcher Settings - Navigator Display Mode, then change it from PIP to Display Mode.

Now it works!

So problem 1 is solved.

Kevin1982 ah, yes. Forgot about also this option regarding PIP, there's too many confusing or almost duplicated settings.
I don't have dvr / adas, was thinking about it, but with so many unresolved bugs I'm not going to buy anything else from Dudu. Bought tpms with unit and same situation, no correct apk on the tpms drive. Must be standard with them.

Fixed the DVR problem. Changed the usb cable to the one provided. Thought I already tested this but it seems not 😅
