HondaCivicDriver SWC voice button triggers only Google Assistant or a selection window if Gemini is selected. When driving the steering wheel voice button only opens this Google window telling me to select either assistant despite Gemini being selected already whilst Gemini superbly reacts on voice commands. How to trigger Gemini by this button as it should be? @DUDU-HUANG @DUDU-Meng
HondaCivicDriver The problem was solved by de-installing Google Assistant app in the Google Playstore.
HondaCivicDriver DUDU-Meng Thank you. As I also wrote in the Telegram forum (English channel to @dudu-lai ), the problem was solved but then another one arose. Precisely, the "call back / return" SWC button stopped reacting after de-installing Google Assistant. That means I need to close Google Assistant manually with my fingers on the screen because I can't make it disappear lacking this SWC button. Also for other purposes I would need this button to work again as it always did before. I would assume it is not a Canbus issue.
HondaCivicDriver Even after reinstalling Google Assistant again, the SWC button didn't react again. I did a reboot of the system now and then, the button was working again. Now however it's not working anymore. @DUDU-Meng Do you need a Canbus log file?
reg66 HondaCivicDriver Aye you saying you used to be able to make calls with Google assistant or gemini? Didn't think that was possible as dudu only use their voice control bot. I thought assistant/gemini couldn't interact enough to make calls with The BT phone app...
HondaCivicDriver @reg66 Where did I ever mention making calls? No, that was never possible. I mean with Gemini / GA you can make calls if you have a sim card inserted and the Google Phone App and Contacts app installed. But you wont be able to receive incoming calls. The normal Bluetooth function for calls from your connected phone is not tied to Gemini / GA.
HondaCivicDriver Now this specific SWC button was working again and allowed me to close any opened apps. It needed a reboot again. I am not sure whether it stays like this, or whether it will become unresponsive again. I have no clue whether that is software related or due to a loose canbus pin?
