Sound out via Bluetooth or USB

I sometimes drive with passengers who watch movies, and I'd like to direct the audio to their earbuds or headphones.

Is there an easy way to switch audio to output to Bluetooth? I was able to pair earbuds via the Android settings menu but could not get audio working.

Next I tried to use the USB-C connection on the back of the headunit, connected to a DAC, then to wired headphones. That didn't work either.

Bluetooth audio output requires some parameter configuration, but it is not suitable for headphones because it outputs at maximum volume, and your headphones may not be able to adjust the volume independently.

DUDU-Meng I had attempted to connect my wired headphones via a USB DAC (a short cable/adapter with a DAC chip). Shouldn't this work? I could purchase a DAC with volume control included, but wanted to confirm compatability first.

DUDU-Meng You mention bluetooth parameter configuration - is this something I can do on my end? I'm open to trying anything that will allow for either bluetooth or USB audio out to headphones.

Bluetooth is unlikely to be successful. USB DAC output allows you to plug in wired headphones as long as your DAC device has a 3.5 mm jack.
Furthermore, the DAC can adjust the volume independently, whereas Bluetooth cannot.

DUDU-Meng Ok thank you. Based on your response, I'll purchase a DAC with 3.5 mm jack and volume control. I assume I will also need to enable USB audio out in the settings.
