Rainbow / banding effect when wearing polarized sunglasses

Just recently installed the DUDU7 and noticed that there is a strong rainbow / banding effect when driving with polarized sunglasses. I produced this sample photo by shooting through my sunglasses. This effect didn't happen with the same sunglasses when using the factory head unit, and the effect is also nearly non-existent when sitting in the passenger's seat with the same sunglasses. Does anyone else have this issue with polarized sunglasses, and were you able to do anything about it? If it makes any difference, the driver is on the left side of the car in the US, and I wonder if somehow this screen was optimized for display for drivers on the right side of a car...

What if you rotate your sunglasses 90 degree, so in "portrait view"?
When is it really the polarizing, it should be OK when holding them rotated.

surfer63 Yup, here's the difference when polarized lenses are turned 90 degrees. It goes from Rainbow Time to Nearly Unnoticeable. These photos were shot as straight as possible to show the clarity possible when the polarized lenses are turned to an angle most compatible with the DUDU7 screen.

The banding effects are most pronounced when I'm wearing polarized sunglasses and I'm looking at the screen off-axis (like when I'm driving). These photos show how distracting it can be. I don't remember any of this happening with the factory head unit, but maybe I just got lucky and the angle of my sunglasses polarization (which I would assume is optimized to reduce glare on the road) was very compatible with the screen.

My intent is not actually to fault the DUDU7. I believe all LCD screens are susceptible to this polarization effect. I'm mostly curious if anyone else out there has noticed this effect when wearing polarized sunglasses, or if I'm the only poor sap that has an incompatible combo of sunglasses and head unit.

@niftyken Maybe it's just your glasses. I have several polarized glasses and I can't see through any of them like in your pictures. My unit is a dudu7 9.5", 2k display
Do your glasses have any other coating? Like a mirror coating or a blue light filter coating or something?

With my Smith polarized sunglasses, the screen is fully blacked out. If I tilt my head, I can start seeing the screen, but while driving, I have to lift the sunglasses to see the screen. Terrible. Had I known this, I would not have purchased the Dudu7. Other head units have had some small effect from polarized shades, but this one is ridiculous. The Smith sunglasses are by far the best I've used, but I may have to try some different brands and get a pair that just stay in the car.

hella356 Yes, the sunglasses I have which have the most pronounced problems when viewing the DUDU7 screen are Maui Jim brand. Also, I've tried looking through a circular polarizer for my DSLR camera and have had similarly extreme results. So ironically it's the most expensive pieces of polarized glass I own that seem to have the worst interactions with my DUDU7 screen.
