How to pair with bluetooth OBD

I have a really cheap bluetooth ELM327 OBD device that works with my phone using Torque app.

I'm trying to pair it to the dudu7 to use it with Torque:

The message doesn't make sense to me. "Please check the built-in bluetooth phone settings"? What bluetooth phone settings?

How can I enter the PIN which is actually "1234"?

It never pairs. I also tried in the Settings-Device Connection-OBD section as BT OBD or something like that, but it never shows in the pairing screen there.

OBD is connected in Settings - External Devices, but if you use a Bluetooth phone to connect to it, it will not succeed.

You need to understand a very simple truth, Bluetooth phones can only be used for making calls and listening to music. You can treat it as a Bluetooth headset.
The BLE peripheral already has a menu, even if you open the settings and take a glance, you can see it

I don't understand what you are saying. I am not using it with my phone. I am trying to use Torque app on dudu7 with the OBD paired to dudu7.

I was just saying that I know the OBD works because I can pair it to my phone using the password 1234 and then it works in Torque app on my phone.

I want to do the same thing, but not with my phone, but with the dudu7.

When I tested, bluetooth was disabled on my phone.

Where is the BLE peripheral menu?

The devices found in DUDUOS Bluetooth calls can only be connected to mobile phones; other devices are not supported.
DUDU has another Bluetooth for connecting external devices.
As with your ELM327 OBD device, you can connect it by selecting ELM327 directly in Settings - External Devices - OBD. You can also install the ELM327 companion app to connect it.

What is this "ELM327 companion app" and where can I find it or download it?
I can't find it in the app store and it is not on my unit either.

surfer63 There are many apps that can connect to ELM327, and 327 should be considered public hardware. Dudu only supports its own functions and does not provide downloads or support for third-party apps.

All external devices are connected here via duduos. If you do not use duduos, you can contact the OBD hardware vendor to provide the app.

OK, thanks. When you said "the ELM327 companion app" instead of "any ELM327 app", I thought there was a dudu app for it.
I currenty use the open-source AndrOBD but hoped to replace it with a dudu app.
