Hey everyone,
I recently installed a DUDU7 Android head unit in my 2012 Audi TT RS (2.5). The unit came with an AU03 frame, a matching harness, and the RZ-AUDI01 CANBUS decoder.
What Works:
Steering wheel buttons
Door status
Speed signal
What Doesn’t:
Reverse signal (no 12V output to G5)
What I’ve Tried:
The “Export CANBUS Log to TXT” function seems broken, so I couldn’t capture log data
Based on what I’ve read, the CANBUS box should output 12V to the G5 wire when reverse is engaged, but the RZ-AUDI01 box doesn’t seem to do that
I’ve tested other CANBUS boxes:
XP, OD, and Hiworld all send reverse correctly (12V to G5), but each has issues (e.g. steering wheel controls, door status, or head unit not shutting down properly)
Raize/RZ is the most stable overall—but it lacks reverse support
What I’m Looking For:
Any way to get reverse working while keeping the RZ box?
Is there a firmware update or config that might fix this?
Has anyone gotten full functionality on a MK2 TT (8J) with another box?
